  1. I, too, was one of those who had season tickets on the student side and was forced to move. I admit I did not want to because of all the posts about no enthusiasm on the alumni side. Come to lower section D! I must have been guided by some second sense when I chose our seats. The fans in our area have no problem with loudly showing our support for the Mean Green and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just to let you know if you didn't already, I'm one of those "older" fans, although I don't think age really has anything to do with "rowdiness." I graduated in 1974. Rowdy and rude, though, are not the same. See you at homecoming!

  2. I sit two rows right in front of Rick. It seems that whatever powers that be are TRYING to run the fans off! We need every body we can get that is in any way, shape or form interested in he Mean Green. If the tortillas get more people to the games, they should be handing them out at the gates! Just about everyone (not all) around us was picking up tortillas thrown from above and throwing them again. Why they picked on Rick, I don't know! As far as RF, (it happened just behind my right shoulder) the man knows his job is on the line, but there is no excuse for that kind of rage directed at a fan for a comment. It must have really hit home.

  3. It was actually in section D row 14 on the aisle. A gentleman behind me (we're in row 12, seats 31 and 32) and to my right commented to the coaches as they came down to the field that we were being outcoached. Coach Flanigan toook "exception" and rammed his way behind us on row 13 to confront the man who was about 4 or 5 seats in from the aisle, I think in row 14. He (Flanigan) shouted several times for him to say it to his face and the gentleman did. They pulled him away while he was saying something about "I'll kick your a##". The gentleman said he was not directing the comment at Flanigan, but at the coaching staff as a whole. That's about it! I sit two rows right in front of Rick. What a night!

  4. Got this year's football poster framed, signed by Nick Bazaldua, Johnny Quinn and Patrick Cobbs from Football 101 and pictures I took of them. Have the programs and tickets from NO Bowls in '02 and '04 and pictures I took there. And, like Screaming Eagle-66 I have my diploma. Almost forgot, I also have my husband! We met in front of Willis Library in 1971.

  6. I took my stadium seat to the OU game and to Baylor, no problem. I also have taken it to every game at Fouts for the last three years. We bought the seat backs this year. They are much more comfortable. I have to have some kind of back support.

I like the tortillas, but they put Bruno the Bouncer in front of our section to keep us intimidated! People were throwing them by him occasionally and he didn't even see most of them, just glared up into the stands.

    See you Tuesday.

  7. Keith, I mentioned the band, I guess, because I've always had my season tickets on the student side until they made me move this year. I've never seen them perfrom from the front before! Believe me, I'm there to see football, but I enjoy all the aspects of the game.

I understand how you feel. We're all pissed after a loss like the one we just had. Sorry you're alone in enemy territory. At least most of my co-workers don't care about sports and probably don't even know we lost.
