  1. I find myself believing this more than Phillips article.
  2. Imagine that, working on tackling more at practice. Crazy.
  3. Is this poker night Jimbo, from the Wisteria house?
  4. UNT 45 FIU 42 Attendance: Two thousand fewer people than they actually announce.
  5. Very true. Especially the part about being President.
  6. There is no reason to not listen to the best radio station the D/FW market.
  7. Maybe, but people also do enjoy listening to people they disagree with at times. As long as what is being put out is appealing and hoepfully thought provoking. Cool avatar by the way.
  8. We haven't taken a ratings hit because of it.
  9. So are you going to ask ESPN.com to stop posting negative things about us, because a student might read it??.....( I coudn't resist)
  10. I am calling BS on this. If someone were a member here or a guest felt inclined to fly by here to check things out, I am guessing they would be voting 'yes' on a new stadium. I doubt people griping about a program that they deeply care about and one they want to see succeed are going to sway a vote. People have pretty much made up their minds about who they are voting for in the Presidential election, as well as the stadium issue. Chill out and keep up the good work. Just don't get preachy on this thing. Nobody likes that.
  11. I wouldn't have posted this, if this was the only time I have read a post by him telling people to keep quiet. Like i said, I respect his work too, but he needs to get a grip.
  12. For him to come out and recommend that the admins delete posts that are negative is utterly ridiculous. We all want a new stadium, nobody here is against that. However, this kid is a part of the student government, and for him to even bring up the idea of censoring opinions in a public forum is just scary. I am not questioning his work ethic and dedication, but wanting to silence the thoughts of others is flat out scary. I hope to hell he doesn't get elected to a political office of some consequence in the future for that very reason. I, like you, wish the students cared more than they do. But to see someone so wrapped up in their own personal agenda, even think about editing the thoughs and views of the people on this board is just wrong. I don't care how you try to rationalize it, wrong is wrong. We don't need this kid making efforts to be 'Big Brother'....we have enough of that in our country already.
  13. Do you also want to ban books from the library? I think there are a number of us that are about sick of you and your agenda. We will post whatever the hell we want. GO AWAY.
  14. They both need to run the ball more. Period. Dallas of course ran it 11 times yesterday, and that will likely be the last time we see that ever. However, TD needs to run the ball more to simply run more time off the clock so we can play a little bit of keep away against FIU. I am not saying scrap the game plan, but we do have a few guys in Cam and Lance that have shown they can pick up yards. If we get the ball we need to run it 3-4 more times per drive, if that is possible. If we do that the score might not be so lopsided as we fall to 0-5.
  15. What do we want to covery to them??....A good football program?? We don't have that. Heck, most won't have that during their entire stay at UNT. How about we, as a school, convey an administration that can get things done and have our athletic department move in a clear direction?? I dunno, maybe not leave the students, fans, and alums in limbo??....Whelp, we don't have that either. Students that are not invested in football are probably not pouring over football message board posts. If they are, then I would venture a guess they will vote for the stadium regardless of what is said here by anyone. I know you are spearheading some movement with the students, which is great and I commend you for doing so.....But don't come here and tell people what NOT to say after seeing our team get their asses shot off by 57 points against a very marginal program in Rice. Message boards are a place to priase or bash whatever is going on with the program. Deal with that - and quit trying to act like a pain in the arse hall monitor. Go trumpet your message on campus or on Fry street to whoever wants to listen. As for the rest of us, we are going to bitch about having one of the worst NCAA football programs in the country. Go make some campaign signs and leave everyone else here alone about the 'tone' of their posts. In case you were wondering mine is annoyed.
  16. Just sayin'....I haven't seen it yet. This is freaking ridiculous. The students should do whatever the hell they want as far as the stadium vote goes.
  17. I will go ahead and do some clean up on this thread. And I would also like to say what's up to everyone on this thread that knows me. Especially you 'Ernesto'. Hope all is well in life and if you are ever around Barley again, give me a shout and the beers are on me. 1-Norm did take NT against a 17 and a half point spread. I criticized him in the cubicle area, and reminded him Rice has Jerrett Dillard, and then reminded him that we don't play defense. Oh well, the Pole has spoken. 2-NT alums at the station. Myself, Jub, Junior, Rich Phillips, Mr. Phil, Joel Jenista and a board op or two that work after hours and weekends. As for Friedo, he is a proud SFA Lumberjack, and yes he likes to talk bad about NT. I think it's because he is jealous. (Hoping he reads this) 3-Rich Phillips is a proud NT alum. He does SMU games because he has a passion to do play by play - like many of us do. Believe me, those jobs are very hard to come by, especially at the D-1 level. I would kill to be doing SMU right now and I f'ing hate the Phonies. 4-As for the Green Guys, there is a group of guys now that have picked that back up after it was left in shambles by the generation that followed us at KNTU. The current crew are doing pre-game stuff. I really do wish that a group could garner the trust of the powers that be at KNTU and be able to do a real talk show like we used to do back in the day. It would be nice to start tradition of producing more solid young broadcasters. That will be tough though, becuase the great Bill Mercer has retired from teaching at NT, but as always he is a great mentor and will still help kids out. Sorry to ramble on that last one. That's all. Just wanted to share what I know with some of you guys. Lets beat Rice....or at least cover for Norm's sake. (Insert Wild Norm chuckle)
  18. Then stay home and watch the game on your own TV. Easy really.
  19. Well then a quarter of this season has really sucked.
  20. I agree with this post. And we still all need to just let it go.
