Working stiffs who want to be able to travel.
How bout working stiffs who want to go on vacation AND watch Mean Green football?
-
When will our fanbase let go of the 'Big West all over again' statements. This isn't the Big West anymore. Boise State has gone from the Big West days to what...like a #3 or 4 team in the country and a consistent top 25 school the past 5 yrs or so? These schools have made waves and advanced their programs...we're just starting too also. Times are different now and the MWC is a better option than CUSA from a perception standpoint and in my opinion even a talent standpoint.
Plus, who would rather go to Murfreesboro over Hawaii? Vacation/Mean Mean Green football in the same trip!

The GM from the Rudy's in Denton called the Allen location and they are setting up via laptop and connecting it to the TV in the backroom. If you would like to catch the game Thursday night in the AC and have some beverages too Rudys in the place to be in Denton.
I had a hankerin' for some barbeque anyway.
Looks like I'll be at Rudy's on Thursday night. Hope to see some of you there.

No?
C. Jones should start. I see Walton as more of a backup two.
Oh, nevermind... That was a projecting starting 5. I thought he was listing new upperclassmen coming in.
Yes, I agree that Jones is probably our best PG.

C. Jones
Patton
Franklin
Mitchell
Hogans
All of a sudden, we're not such a young team anymore. There would still be growing pains, but 3 of those 5 have D1 experience, and Tony Mitchell is Tony Mitchell.
Could be interesting.
C. Jones... do you mean B. Walton?

It is my understanding he is one of 4 walk on players who NT has offerred a ship.
???
-
Accordfing to his twitter he is on ship. If he can can play this season , I can see him being our starting 2 guard. He sounds like the perfect player for Jordan Williams to play under/ learn from during his frosh year
A 6'7" 2? We're going to be very long this year.

Shocked not to see DaWaylon Cook starting, much less failing to make the 2-deep.
For sure.
It doesn't sound like he's still hurt or anything. Coach McCarney said during his press conference that we're fully healthy except for a handful of players and he did not mention DaWaylon. Maybe he just didn't get to see as much out of DaWaylon this fall since he was still recovering. Or, maybe he saw what he wanted from McCord, Downing, Shorter & Graham. Surely coach Bowen contributed to (or maybe even made) this call. Gotta trust them that they know what they're doing, but a shock for sure.

I love Lance.
He doesn't want to answer any stinkin' questions, he just wants to run for 200+ yds/gm.
Go Lance!

No "UL-Upickem", or "F_U"? What is the world coming to? Did ESPN forget about the Sun Belt?

Can anyone tell me why there is a blue lot? It seems to intermingle with the red lot both in traffic pattern and parking.
It appears the only difference is HOW you enter the lot. If you have a red tag, you must enter via Avenue D from the east. If you have a blue tag, you must enter via Bonnie Brae from the west. Both park in the same lots though.

YES! That is awesome.

Unless you're a recent alumn... then I think they have some kind of pro-rated deal for each year you've been out of school. Just call the Ticket office/AD and I'm sure they could talk you through all of that.

What if hypothetical questions didn't exist?
mind. blown.

Amen...CMJ!!! The injuries on our team were a nail in our coffin. I know we had some mistakes in the SBC Championship game with less than 2 minutes to go, but the ref's also cost us the game. Even with our mistakes if the ref's had called a reasonable game especial at the end we'd have done dancing. Only reason I really didn't mind not going dancing was our injuries. Because of injuries we didn't have a chance of advancing very far if at all at the dance had we won SBC championship. Now that our team is reloading UNT should have another great year. With Tony Mitchell's arrival at the end of 2011 we won't be going .500 in SBC play this year.
Watch out Boy's and Girl's our upcoming men's BB season is going to be special. If not, then I'll be disappointed. JJ and everyone involved to this point has given me no reason to believe I'll be disappointed in 2011-2012.
Go Mean Green basketball!!!
It sounds like you have all your eggs in the basket of Tony Mitchell and a great class of Freshmen.
Temper your expectations. The class that just graduated was a class that will go down in Mean Green lore for years and years. I believe this freshman class will do the same, but they are still freshmen. This year may be a slight drop-off from last year. If it is, it shouldn't be a reason for disappointment.
I suppose it really depends on Franklin's waiver, the level of Mitchell's play, the ability of our fab freshmen to progress & gel throughout the year, and finally, our returning players' continued improvements (I'm looking at you Holmen!). That's alot of question marks. If all of these things go well, we should be able to make some noise, if not win, the SBC. If they don't, we may very well go .500 in conference and make an early exit in the conf. tourney.

I would not be surprised to see this guy on the field against us though.

A&M has built their whole identity around their rivalry with Texas. Do you know the words of their fight song ("Aggie War Hymn")?
Good bye to texas university
So long to the orange and the white
Good luck to dear old Texas Aggies
They are the boys who show the real old fight
"the eyes of Texas are upon you"
That is the song they sing so well
So good bye to texas university
We're gonna beat you all to…
Chigaroogarem, Chigaroogarem
Rough, Tough, Real stuff, Texas A&M
Saw varsity's horns off
Saw varsity's horns off
Saw varsity's horns off
Short! A!
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Varsity's horns are sawed off
Short! A!
That song's going to sound pretty dumb when they no longer even play Texas ("t.u."). What are the Aggies going to get riled up about anymore if they can't get riled up against "t.u."?
Greatest fight song of all time... if they played the Longhorns every game. But they don't, so it's the dumbest fight song of all time.

Never played, but I've heard it's similar to spades, which I do enjoy. I guess people in my generation don't play too often.

Congrats Cyril Lemon
He certainly has the size to get it done. I hope the speed of the first 5 games does not overwhelm him.

Well, just as long as CAW doesn't come out of his mouth, and he decks you first, then I'm on board with that too.........
You'll never see a more viscious, angry being coming after you in the stands... wait, didn't Flanigan come after YOU at Fouts?... nevermind. I think you may be able to handle Scrappy.
-
Im saying it now. Video or it didn't happen. You hearing me Rick? VIDEO!
Yes. FFR will be in for the biggest +1 boon of his gmg.com life when this video shows up.
-
I'm incredibly onboard with this demand for mascot realism. If we don't see Scrappy off his feet and preying upon the smaller children and animals in and around the stadium this year, then why the hell do we have a team?
Also, although this is more of a 2012 demand, I would also like him to regurgitate a worm into my mouth every time we force a punt.
Also, in homage of our nickname: The Mean Green, Scrappy can never be happy either. As a matter of fact, the only emotion Scrappy can feel is anger and respond in "mean-ness". No more high-5's with Scrappy, or I'll expect he decks you.
