Wonder if this will affect any recruits:
Hope we have a few slots open for the inevitable mass exodus of Baylor football players.

This is a very interesting offer...
Quite interesting. Why bother offering a guy that already has offers to Alabama, LSU, Texas, etc, unless you have a feeling you have a chance.
But like Aldo said, might be swinging for the fences.

How is saying the QB play needs improvement different from saying it will improve? If it is a fact that it will improve, then doesn't that mean saying it needs improvement a fact as well?

Need a VAST improvement in QB play for that jump to occur...
Y'all can downvote based on who posted all you want, but it's the truth.
Fine had 1,500 yards, 6 TDs, 5 INTs in an offense that's tailored made for QBs to thrive. Saying you need better play from that position is a fair criticism.

In the past we had the eagle Angels. Do they still exist?
I'm pretty sure we still have them.
And they don't like to admit it but they do flirt with the recruits pretty hard.
... but if my memory is correct, they weren't exactly 10s. Or 7s for that matter.

I think 8 is the perfect number. All P5 champions and 3 at-larges. And maybe undefeated G5 conference champions get 1st priority at the 3 at-larges.

Don't be so sure he wasn't given a second chance..
Yeah let's not pretend that we know all the details.
And let's be honest with ourselves.. you get a chance to pick up a 4* talent guy, you are probably more willing to bend some of your rules. But again, we don't know the full details regarding either players dismissal.

So does SMU go after Cade Pearson?
If that does happen, hopefully Cade sees the weapons that are starting to accumulate here and wants to stay.
I do see SMU making a push tho.

I feel like 90 doesn't post much anymore, but when he does, he comes guns blazing. And I love it.
Under no circumstances would I want a G5 playoff. Doesn't make sense on multiple levels. You would never get the time of day from good recruits bc they'll all want to play for P5s and that shot at the championship. Teams like us would never get to offer that dream.

I think it might be time to start getting worried. Teams that are in no better situation than we are *ehm... UTSA* are absolutely kicking our a** in recruiting.

Applewhite was my coaching crush last year. Of course I'm loving what Littrell is doing but I'll be paying close attention to what Major does with Houston the next few years.

What a joke! I will bet the FCS playoff is their biggest money maker. Just like the National Playoff game is their biggest money maker!
FCS national championship game. It is nationally televised this is creating content!
"Nationally televised" doesn't mean it's a good revenue generator.

Let me get this straight. Y'all want to tell these kids that being STUDENT athletes mean nothing by turning down a bowl bid because they didn't get it the "traditional" way? That is non-sense.
These kids worked their asses off. Not only on the field, but also in the classroom. They deserve this reward, especially the seniors.

It's funny how students constantly complain that UNT doesn't have enough parking and UNT's response is to take away 2/3 of a lot lol

I'd really like to see all white with these chrome helmets for the UTEP game. I think the green on that uni combo are already kind of metallic/chrome-ish? I might be wrong though. I think it would look really nice regardless.

Attendance has always leaned on student participation. I will tell you this as a fresh alumni: Students have it ingrained in them that UNT football sucks. It's just the unfortunate fact. I enjoy free football so I went to a lot of the games anyway. But students tailgate, maybe go in for a quarter or 2, then head to parties. You'll need some solid years to get this thinking out of people's minds.
Also, if you think UNT being a liberal arts/commuter school doesn't effect sporting event attendance, you're just fooling yourself.

For a team that went 1-11 last year we sure do a lot of complaining when things are going good but not great. Everything that is happening this year is gravy. Enjoy it.
