If you don't like what UNT90 says, just don't respond. Trying to start a war of words with him isn't going to magically change his stance. He has every right to be overly negative, just as everyone else has the right to be overly positive. Is he wrong about the culture change? Any sane person would say no.
Personally, I'm excited to see how Alec plays out. He's not taking us to an 8-10 win season though, maybe not even 6. We have so many more needs that need to be addressed and a completely unproven (yet talented) coaching staff.
P.S.
Some of y'all being super homer all the time gets old as well.

Not true. Case Keenum was not that, Kenny Hill isn't, and neither is Kyle Allen. Allen would probably still be their starter had Sumlin not signed Kevin and Kyler Murray. Murray and Manziel were like that, but the other Sumlin QBs haven't been improvisers, and really haven't even been dual-threat types.
I think what Ben is trying to say is the best season Sumblin has put together at A&M was under Manziel. And Manziel and Starkel are completely different QBs

Uh so, what happened to Kevin Patrick? Why is he goin to Tech?

I mean, he's not wrong. If it's okay for writers to talk about great years, it's okay to talk about the worst years.

Time to add another to the list

Better than "Best Value College" or "Green Light to Greatness"?
I cringe everytime I see "Green light to greatness". So cheesy. Sounds like a bad dad joke.
"Best Value College" makes us sound like WalMart or something.

I'm sure someone on the board can photoshop Littrell, Harrell, etc into a Untouchables movie photo.
That would be an awesome in-game video

Haha I remember when #Hit6 started.. I just thought to myself "oh god aren't we pathetic that we're rooting for mediocrity". But hey, it worked for a year I suppose.
#UNTouchable is by far the best slogan for anything UNT related that I can remember in my 5 short years being around.

I know that that he hasn't officially announced, but he "liked" all of the comments on Nick Starkels tweet that had to do with UNT. I think it's safe to add him to the commit list.

I'm new to these boards so I'm not privy to all the details, but seems like a lot of whining on both ends. Y'all are mad that UNT90 has an opposing (and in my un-biased opinion, valid) view? That's dumb. Why wouldn't you want the full details from an interview with the AD that seems to have many enemies? Yes, you'll probably never know what was said, but what is so wrong with wanting transparency from the face of your athletic department?
And this negativity affecting recruiting? Come on. There is not a single recruit that says to themselves, "Well I can't decide between these 2 schools.. Let me check their message boards to measure their level of negativity."

I went from my original B grade to a B+. If news comes down today that Kincade is coming to UNT, I'd bump that to an A-. We need talent and if you could add players like English and Kincade in back-to-back days, you're doing something right.

Kincade just retweeted a few things. 2 tweets about needing him at UNT and the Bryce English tweet. Some really strange stuff going on

Yes, and I'm beginning to think that may be the case. I think Littrell is no longer following Kincade. I've said it before, but the fact that Kincade would have to sit out a year then only have one season of eligibility left hurts his attractiveness to coaches.
Just checked and Littrell is still following him. Now, Harrell is not and he has changed his account to UNT things. So who knows.

At one point in the offseason, he was beating out senior Jake Coker for the starting job at 'Bama. Nice get by Littrell and crew.

The disparity in the talent level between the UNT roster and the Florida roster, that's who...
Lol.
You're right. The less talented team has never won a game against the more talented team.

I've been saying this for years!! We need one of these electric qbs! There's so many that comes out of Tx and we somehow have not been able to get one. They are the difference makers that every program needs. I'm sick of seeing them leave the state and go elsewhere. Littrell knows this hence already being more active on the QB recruiting trail and saying we will recruit them every year. That's what smart programs do.
In college football, the best way to hide your weaknesses is to have a dual-threat QB that can make things happen. When A&M was good, they had Johnny. Texas had VY. Florida had Tebow. Auburn had Newton. There is just a randomness with those kinds of QBs that college defenses can't game plan for.
4th and 7 with the game on the line and the defense has great coverage: The QBs at UNT get sacked and the game is over. A QB with mobility makes a play from nothing and keeps the game alive.
The best way to go from last to first is have one of those QBs.

Talent or not we should always go into every season with bowling on our minds. TCU went 4-8 a few years ago and then lost one game the next season. Why you ask? A new system. This could happen to us. You never know.
That's exactly my thinking. I have a friend that goes to TCU and going into the 2014 year we were both saying we should go to a game but they'll probably be bad again, and wow! TCU took the college football world by storm. And other than changing the system, it was a change of mindset that turned it around and installing the electric Boykin at QB.
You just never know until the season starts. If UNT comes out and beats SMU then smokes that FCS team, who's to say Coach Littrell doesn't get his signature win early against Florida while the guys are still riding that high of a new coach and new season?

It looks as if we'll get mainly the same schedule as last year, just swapping some non-conference foes. So based on this, here are my extremely watered down homer-ish expectations:
Lock(ish) wins (5)- SMU (a decent QB beats them last year), UTSA, UTEP, Bethune-Cookman, Army (if you cant beat Army, go to FCS)
Possible Wins (2)- Western Kentucky (losing Brandon Doughty), LA Tech (losing Jeff Driskel and Kenneth Dixon)
Really Would Have To Dig Deep Wins (4)- Rice, Southern Miss, Marshall, Middle Tennessee
Need Jesus Wins (1)- Florida
So by my count, 5-7 would be a great year, 7-5 would be an amazing year, anything more than 7 wins would signal the apocalypse.

I'll just go ahead and say it so everyone knows:
He's a P5 position coach. No G5 experience. Will he suck? Probably
aren't all coordinators/head coaches former position coaches?

I could have sworn it was uniforms that was all kids cared for?
Rick
To be fair, kids are all different. I don't think the lineman care about looks as much as the skill position players do lol

The kid has some hands. I like the way he attacks the ball, much like players such as Dez and Megatron. Needs a bit more size on him for the way he plays, but a college strength training program will do the trick. Looks like a really physical receiver. Hard to tell from the camera angle but looks a bit unpolished as a route runner. Has good speed, guessing 4.5-4.6?
-
Looks like its not final just yet, but confirms our beliefs that we're wanting him for offense.

I've only been around UNT for 5 years and even I understand how terrible RV is.
