  1. This happened to me a few games ago. So besides the seat error, the bigger question is why are mid court seats even offered for sale to the general public, including opposing fans? This has also happened in past years as well, where a group of opposing fans sat right around us at mid court, about 10 rows up. It felt like a road game in our own section & lessens the need to buy season tickets to get a good seat. This needs to be addressed & fixed.
  2. Scott Cross (uta) beat #20 St Mary's (who is currently 21-2) & Texas this year, along with a 177-139 record & 4 post season trips. Would be nice to have a coach with similar cred on his resume prior to joining us.
  3. Jones couldn't even beat UTA, had no post season wins, no wins vs Top 25, no outright regular season conf championships, and couldn't win a NCAA tourney game with all of the resources that LSU offers & has lost 9 in a row now, yet, despite all that, he is our best option 'at all costs'? No. Why not strive for better success? Mediocrity has been our standard for too long.
  4. No. No post season wins. No wins vs top 25 ranked. No regular season conference championships. Just no. Tried it, time for a fresh start.
  5. The 84-85 team under Tommy Newman (5-23) & the 92-93 team under Jimmy Gales (5-21) are a tie for me (at least in the Super Pit era). This year's team has considerably more talent than either of those, so what we are watching isn't historic in those terms. I do remember several fans wearing paper grocery bags with eye holes in it for the remaining few games with Gales in '93 as a way to signal their displeasure. That was the trend back then. Now, people just don't go & do something else. Oh, the memories. Lol
  6. No to a JJ rehire. Scott Cross at UTA, who beat JJ several times, would be a much better hire, in addition to several others. The two programs played every season from 2006-07 (Scott Cross' first year) to 2012-13, with the Mavericks going 5-2 over UNT during that span with Cross. I trust Wren to find a coach that can not only beat UTA, but even UT. Aim high please.
  7. Around $1,000 for football & $500 for basketball season tickets. For the first time in 26 years, I'm eliminating the basketball portion of my tickets next fall, but hanging on to football. I'm tired of losing across the board & withholding my bball tickets is the only vote I have that means anything.
  8. We could more easily afford this if we didn't have to keep giving large severance packages for multiple coaches fired over the past several years. I wonder whose responsibility that was... maybe it's the banner's fault.
  9. For too long, UNT athletics has maintained & cultivated a culture without meaningful accountability, so when some are finally saying enough is enough after a decade of repeated on field failures, many aren't prepared or able to handle the added conflict. I get it. It is much easier to 'go along to get along', which some are desperately requesting now, even at the possible cost of future success... But that's a sacrifice I'm no longer (after 3 decades) willing to accept for this great university. Sometimes the truth hurts.
  10. Flyonthewall, you've heard plenty from us on our plan to #MakeUNTgreatAgain, but I'd like to hear your thoughts how doing nothing now will make things better? In the past 10 years, we've been rated #1 in ESPN's Bottom 10 at one point in at least 3 separate years, and if this poll was provided for Women's bball, we would have been on that several times as well, and that's not even to say I've never seen UNT beat a ranked team in the top 3 revenue sports in my lifetime... Yes, lifetime. So, my question to you, how does our silence now do anything to change the course we've been on for decades. It's time to #MakeUNTgreatAgain.
  11. As one who has followed & supported this program for the past 30 years, I can say my Apogee club seats, MGC membership, season tickets in multiple sports, and unwavering attendance have no material difference in the continued negative direction of this program. Despite this, I still believe we have an outstanding university whose athletic success can rise up to meet our academic prowess. It starts & ends with leadership. I have silently watched other programs around us figure out this simple formula for success. I have not posted here for the past 10 years after being blocked for advocating that we could do better than a DD offense that was dead last in the country. Was it offensive to ask we strive to be better then? Is it now? It seems for the 17, it is. I've wrote, called, and honestly don't know what else to do. For that reason, I'm in for $100. #MakeUNTgreatAgain
