Does the pope shit in the woods?

I really hope the answer is, "Whatever it takes to get the right guy in here," but as long as RV is in place, I have no faith that we can make a good hire. The university desperately needs a HFC that can bring energy, recruits, and wins. It will boost our image nationally and help the university as a whole.

Holy necro-bump Batman I haven't been following this board that long, but it seems like back in 2009 people had the same concerns about RV that we are still talking about. Something has got to change. Lets hope our letters to the president get the point across. Perhaps someone should copy and paste the text of this thread to him with date stamps...

The letter I just sent:

Its a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts. People need to show up to get recruits excited about whats happening at UNT, but fans want to see wins. Ergo, wins beget fans, which beget better recruits. You have to start somewhere, and that somewhere is with more than 4 winning seasons in the last 20 years.

He doesn't seem to be very popular, but I'm a huge fan of Fritz. That said, I'm afraid Georgia Southern to UNT would be too much of a lateral move - not something Fritz has done historically. He turned SHSU into a winner in the FCS and is doing the same at Georgia Southern. He could do it here too, if we could get him.
