Well heard hes not interested in playing basketball anymore. His personal issues are just flat out does not want to play at all. How do you deal with that as a coach. Thats why its not good for some kids to sit out for a year because other than class their interests go elsewhere. Hope its not true but....who knows these days who is telling the truth or not

These refs have made watchong this game unbearable

Validity. Heard it from players and their parents. Not just drills straight up practice. Everyday and on game days. Thats why they look so tired and sleepy. They are not being heard. If they speak up about they get waved off as complaining.

We very dissappointed last night. They are still making them practice on game days 2 hours before the game yesterday. He will not let them run and gun. Just stand around and play hot potatoe with the ball until the clock runs down. Players and parents very dissatisfied but love north texas so what can we do at this point . Not looking forward to this season at all. Glad football is doing great....go mean green

Jordan and Roger had a good game offensively and then ran out of gas. Poor PJ I think his problem is hes too short to see over all those tall players. It seems when 1or 2 players are on fire the rest of the team sucks. Something is really off balance ....maybe no leadership. I still have hope.I will be in hot springs to see us get to the ncaa

I am related to one of the players and yes they have been practicing on game days. Not shooting around,full practice. From what I've been told that is going to cease. They will just shoot around. Alzee and Tony did not start because they were late to practice. Its not Benford the team is just having issues within themselves. They are having to readjust to a whole new coaching staff who are trying to put structure and discipline into them that was not there before. This team was overhyped. I am dissappointed with this season as well but I am a true fan and things will turn around but just not fast enough for some. #"growingpains"

I heard this from the players. They also said they have two a days. That is ridiculous. These players are not buying into benfords system that's why we are struggling so much. Somethings got to give. A different approach to the players maybe? I'm just saying. When teams lose its always the coach fault. So benford needs to change his approach towards the team cause this crap we're doing is not working. You don't have a full practice before a game..are you insane

I hear benford makes the team practice before games. Who does that? You are wearing these guys out before they play. No wonder they look soooooo tired. This needs to stop

Can't wait to see what Shawn Forest (who in my opinion should have gotten the head coaching job) has for. Will probably be an emotional game for the boys considering the relationship they had with Shawn. Go mean green

I believe what's missing is that the players have not bought into Benfords system of coaching. If you are not in sync with your coach or you don't feel motivated by your coach there's going to be a lot of things off balance. Hopefully tonight's game will open up the players eyes and Benfords that some serious things need to be changed. There is something missing between the coach and players....chemistry. until our players believe in themselves and the style of play Benford has. We will forever look lost and lethargic. Confused,bad decision making shots,semi-defense,lackadaisical attitude,throwing up missed shots around the perimeter,no penetration to the basket. Jordan needs to work on handles and footwork and more slashing to the basket, Chris needs to step up and be the leader. Tony needs to get his head right...very dissappointed with his attitude tonight. Roger, I love this Guy plays hard everytime, alzee good player just need to tweek his decision making, PJ best hustler on the floor,holmen need to be consistent offensively. Prediction: we will lose some more games, win conference tournament and win one NCAA game.....lol

Benford coaching style does not benefit Tony Mitchell. At Marquette its more of guard play that's why jw and Chris seem to touch the ball more. If he continues this we will lose a lot more games. Give the ball to Tony more and allow him to be the leader on the floor and everything else will fall in line

They went to stillwater. Chris played good but he's a lil hurt and heard don't know if true but Tony played the same at exhibition. Maybe he's not interested in scrimmages I mean they really don't count anyway. Patton and Clarke are still hurt. That's all I got for now...go mean green
