Join fellow Mean Green fans and alumni during the Conference USA Conference Championships at the Star!  We’ll have games on TVs or you can hang out with us in between games if you are attending the games in person.  UNT swag will be in hand.  The Concrete Cowboy is on the 2nd floor directly across the street from where the the tournament is being held at the Star in Frisco, TX.

I've said it before but someone in the RTV/Arts/CSCI departments should create a project to clean up the clip, especially the audio (although I think it may be better than it used to be).  This seems like something that can be done as a "special project" for credit hours in one of these departments.

Oh, and if there's some sort of licensing requirement, then screw that and do it anyway.  Take that battle to public opinion (Twitter) and let Coke try to deal with the poor publicity.

    Sounds pretty good to me.

  4. Word on the street is that he misunderstood something from the rumor mill and thought he was getting kicked off the team, so he made a preemptive strike and went into the portal.  Things cleared up once he saw that Littrell had been fired, then Latrell withdrew from the transfer portal.

I don't think this staff hits its home run until 2024.

We have a very inexperienced staff.  I like them for two reasons: 1) recruiting, and 2) hungry to figure this out in Denton and make it work.

I think it takes them a season to figure this out.

As an aside, if they aren't working out I sure as God hope Mosely and Co don't wait 6 years to can them.

Don't count us out.  Tulane was 2-10 last year.

Did you notice each one of the above examples relied on letters or a logo to make sure the viewer knew what school was represented.

Many states do the same thing (Oklahoma, California, Kansas).  Texas and NORTH TEXAS let the flag do the “talking.”

    GO MEAN GREEN

Speaking of which, I’ve seen the following flag pop up a couple times sold as a flag as well as on some merch.  Not sure who thought this was a good idea, but it needs to be buried before it appears on anything else.

I'll take this a step further: TCU is already VERY relevant, and has been for a while.  If you think this is a Cinderella story, I think you need to recalibrate your views of the Frogs.  I can see TCU getting increased interest in players that want to compete for a national title.  Any impact in Denton is going to be residual, and probably not much.  Would love it to be more, though.  Maybe I'm being overly skeptical and it will be, for reasons I am not considering.

They were unranked coming into the season.  Despite their history, I think the Cinderella story tag is acceptable.  Now treating this as the stuff movies are made of, as one of the game commentators had mentioned, is a little over the top.

Given your assessment, Earle has the edge for QBs on the roster, which is what I saw from UIW and WSU too. Curious what we can get in the portal. You are absolutely correct in this is the most important position. If Morris doesn't win on this, it will be tough sledding.

Agreed on everything. They really tried to keep Aune from having the ball in 20 and 21.

Well, we only know he could have played through 21 with hindsight because of the covid year. No way that could have influenced Fine's decision making in 2016. Alec Morris was a 3rd stringer on an Alabama team that was primarily about the run. I know he was a standout at (Allen? McKinney? can't remember and won't look it up). And to his credit, he preformed very well when Fine was injured in 16 for the bowl game and he stepped in. The fact that Fine was able to take away the position so easily shows how much of a talent he is.

Isn't Earle the one who threw the ball in the dirt at the goal line in the bowl game?  A lot can change with a full offseason of work but I doubt next year's starting QB is on the current roster.

He’s also the one that threw the shifty jump pass touchdown in the bowl game.
