Since college athletes are now getting paid, shouldn't how much they are getting be public record like coaches salaries? I think it's only fair to know how much schools are offering these players.

I’m pretty sure if the schools are paying them, some rules are being broken.

We beat 3 and lost to 4 of the teams on this season’s schedule. The other opponents are Cal (4-8 last year), ACU (FCS), Navy (4-8 last year), Temple (3-9 last year), Tulane (fantastic last year), and Tulsa (5-7 last year). I fail to see the major hurdle outside of Tulane. Don’t be giving Morris a crutch before he has even coached a game.

The records you shared were teams playing against higher competition.  (AAC > CUSA)  You didn’t include ACU because they played against lesser competition?  They were 7-4.  If we aren’t considering strength of schedule, is ACU a greater hurdle than Cal, Navy, Temple and Tulsa?

What's kind of terrible is there's no second chances. No opportunity to learn and correct. They only get 4-5 years. By the time many of them figure out they messed up, it's too late and their eligibility is out or almost out. The cycle is repeated for each individual player as they're constantly being duped and/or mislead by coaches and family. There's no way for these kids to learn as a whole once and for all that transferring seldom works out until it happens to them. I almost can't blame them because at 18-22 years old, you only know so much and depend on your trusted associates to guide you.

It’s a life lesson.  They may not be able to apply the lesson to college football, but they will have learned from the experience.

I mind that they block athletics from using any version of an interlocking NT logo. I get wanting to protect their own version, but the university/athletic dept should be able to create their own. They used it long before the alumni association.

The interlocking NT is also used by the UNT Letterwinners Association, which is not part of the Alumni Association, but affiliated with UNT Athletics. I’m partial to the 3D star on the Alumni Association logo, but if it’s just the interlocking NT that people want to see on helmets, I don’t think the Alumni Association is the obstacle.

I actually take it as a very good sign that the fans don't really know anything about what went on behind the scene with Abou. The fact that you could lose a starter under less than ideal circumstances, no matter what caused it, and still win a tournament while keeping a lid on team business in the media is kind of refreshing. I wish him well and anticipate that we will have a replacement recruited in the coming months. I also anticipate a HS big man will get recruited also.
