Remember, "the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night"; i.e., unexpectedly. But it's important to be prepared whenever it does come. Personally, I would recommend the New Testament over a YouTube channel.

Examples of how idiotic teams can be with NIL money. Gumms has two catches this year. Roberts has 16, and Alberding has one (Shorter has only one catch also).
Hard to assess Alberding on that. He was always a blocking TE, and was never going to be a major pass-catching target here, either.

Well recently, Mac was a big mistake. Littrell was a big mistake. Foolish one sided contracts were big mistakes.
We lost what, 10 years of building a strong program by foolish, inept decisions by our administrators?
If every coaching hire we make ends up being a "big mistake," maybe the problem(s) is something bigger than the coaching hires themselves.

My mistake. Completely forgot Heart of Dallas bowl in 2013
Yeah, 2013 season I meant. 2011 was Coach Mac's first season.

Out of those 110 years how many years did North Texas have a winning record. The answer to that is the reason why we can’t fill a stadium. Since 1953 North Texas has had 27 winning seasons ( with a lot of 6-5 seasons)
Last bowl victory was in 2002
Last conference championship 2004
I don’t know where you think these fans are hiding when we haven’t had reasons to come to games.
Last bowl victory was in 2011 season.

We're only 7 points away from the best AAC teams.
I'll wait to see how the SMU game goes before I'm bold enough to say that.

We had a great defense in 2011. A couple of years during the Dickey bowl run we had a great defense. A few of the Littrell years were solid, but never great.

I don't understand
To help you figure out which victory over SMU you were speaking about. Obviously switch around the dates for Woody Wilson and Greer/McNulty.
Pretty sure it was the Woody Wilson game.

Will it? Texas really only cares about OU and they’ve dominated A&M historically. The Texas fans I know haven’t really cared about the Aggies very much. It’s pretty one sided.
I mean, what other in-state Texas rivalry would really compare? You're not wrong that OU will still be the biggest rivalry game of Texas' season, but A&M would have to be #2. And UT would be A&M's #1. It will be a big deal when that rivalry restarts.

No, not a "legit" P5 program that "earned" the invite because of superior play and fan support.
The same could be said for schools like Illinois, Vanderbilt, et al. There is nothing truly legit about the P5 designation, anyway.

"Buying" your way in does not make you a P5 program.
Technically, it does. But it does not guarantee you will be P5--or that "P5" will even exist--5 years from now.

I don't love the black jerseys, but that video is great.

Because we were his first offer. Plus we wanted him as a safety...he seemed to prefer linebacker in spite of his size.
Actually, Arkansas State was his first offer. And he also had offers from TCU, Baylor, and other schools before he committed here.

Statistically he's horrible, but he's winning. Consistency is thrown completely out the window but he's making 2-3 plays a game that make the difference. Definitely bad phrasing lol. After I posted that, thinking after beating OU he must be doing pretty well, I checked his stats and they're terrible. But, Kansas is 6-2 and just beat #6 OU. Something's working
Since Lance Leipold arrived in Lawrence, he has done arguably the best coaching job in all of college football. Since KU's actual starter and far better QB went down with an injury, Bean has been pretty good. But Bean's not in the same stratosphere as, say, Chandler Rogers. Put Rogers in that game against OU, and KU wins by 2 TDs.

That's more of an indictment on Littrell and his lack of quality QB coaching after Harrell left.
In that game, Bean was 15 for 32 with 2 picks and no TDs. 2 attempted 2-point conversions, both incomplete. You and I have a very different bar set for "absolutely balling."

What are the odds of him transferring again? I’m sure he’s getting some eyeballs with those numbers.
39 minutes ago, UNTcrazy727 said:0% since he's already transferred he'd have to sit a year to do it again.
I'm pretty sure if he graduates, he could be eligible as a graduate transfer.

Jason Bean, as in the person this thread is about.

It's still early, but he just might be the best I've ever seen in my 30 years of following the program. It's a shame we only get him 2 years.

We have Chandler Rogers. I appreciate Jason's time here, but I would take Chandler over him every time, and 100 times more for good measure.

In what world does ULM have a better setup then La Tech? Are you basing this solely on game results this year? La Tech is light years ahead of ULM in terms of facilities, staffing, and funding.
He's probably just referring to conference affiliation. And he is certainly correct on that point.

Because he will raise his price for NIL with any kind of achievement here.
That goes more than double for recruits who don't have those kinds of offers yet.

Somebody like this is almost certain to go to the portal within 2 years to some power school with major NIL. Better to let him go on down the road now.
If he already has those kind of offers now and yet chooses to go to North Texas anyway, why would he be more likely to transfer than someone else who doesn't get those kind of offers until after he gets here?

That was in Philly? I thought it was in Houston after our recent sweep of the Astros on their home field.
No, the tweet posted in the O.P. just applied Mac's actions in Philly as a meme for the Rangers' win.
