  1. Guess I am not seeing Dodge on the cover.

I just see "Our Coach is Hotter than Your Coach" Kingsbury and Mahomes.

Looking and the view in Lubbock.

  2. Is our Number 26, Jeffrey Wilson

    http://www.texasfootball.com/the-50-most-important-college-players-in-texas-in-2016-no-26-unts-jeffrey-wilson/

I see a  couple on the list that we missed out on that would have been nice to have, Schantz (Rice) the DE from Lake Dallas, for instance.  I am also curious about the WR from TSU-SM, Demur Mercer, that was removed from the team.  I read where Withers has them uphold standards including no weapons, no drugs, respect women and on other that I don't recall.  It would be nice to look in to him, but it sounds serious considering Withers was one of three WR's dismissed thus gutting their WR depth.  That  young man was a stud QB at LaMarque High School.

  3. But that is about all you can complain about regarding ULL fans.  Overall, they are a fun group and it is a great road trip.

Ahhh, the Dog Days of Summer are upon us where conference realignment talk gets us through June, helmet stickers gets us through the first week or two of July and then new uniform talk leads us up to the start of August practices.

If we were to reform I'd prefer this combination.

    Big Gulf Conference

    North Texas

    Rice

    UTEP

    UTSA

    LA Tech

    Southern Miss

    UAB

    South Alabama

I think it would be fine with 8 teams, but if most wanted 10 for a title game, then I'd structure it like this.

    Big Gulf Conference

    Texas Division

    North Texas

    Rice

    UTEP

    UTSA

    Texas State

    Old South Division

    LA Tech

    Southern Miss

    UAB

    South Alabama

    Arkansas State

I think either set up would be a nice competitive conference for football and basketball. Great regional divisions, but not too regional as a conference.

Give me ULL over South Alabama and TSU-SM.

Apparently the Astate board isn't worth a shit. But, uh, you can always go back to it.

Arkstfan is always welcome here.  He has great insight and obviously connections that provide great information on topics of this nature.  Try not to be a d-bag.

FYI president@unt.edu goes straight to URCM. Not intercepted.

I won't argue the careless part, though.

Regardless, a person in the position of university president has "gatekeepers" to filter what gets through to the Pres and what is sent to someone else to handle.

  7. I know this probably will not happen and will be another point in our history where timing worked against us, but with Garrido stepping down at UT, the future of Skip Johnson is up in the air.  If he is not retained by UT, then we should make a push to get him here to start our program.  He is probably the most respected pitching coach in the NCAA and has a number of MLBA players that work with him in the off-season including Clayton Kershaw.  He would give us instant credibility, has connections all over the state and would attract top level talent, especially pitchers, that would want to work with him.  Now may be the time where coming home, building a program and leaving a legacy is important to him.  Please, BOR, make this happen now or we may miss out on a golden opportunity.
