  1. All, Thanks for the sage advice. It lookis like the west side of Monroe makes the most sense. BTW, just spoke to my son and he confirmed that the team will be staying at the Holiday Inn. Will be booking a room for Saturday night...pending availability. See ya at the game! GMG Bill Seidle (a.k.a. GreenEyedDad)
  2. My brother and I will be heading for Monroe, LA from Houston on Saturday morning...should be there by kickoff at 6 pm. This is our first road trip on our new Harleys...about 7 hour trip. BTW, does anyone have a recommendation on where to stay in Monroe.....my understanding is that there are some parts of town that are pretty rough..... Thanks and hope to see ya at the game! GMG GreenEyedDad
  3. After doing a little more digging, looks like we can see the webcast for $9.95, just subscribe, watch the game, then cancel...see below taken from their website Zips Zone Monthly Video/Audio Subcription 9.95 Give it a try! Check out Zips Zone on a month-to-month basis and you'll see why Akron Fans all over the world will become hooked on Zips Zone. You will be billed $9.95 each month until you go to the customer care menu option and cancel your subscription.
  4. I too watched the UNT vs. TU game on my computer...Would rather be there of course... Anyway, I went out to the Akron website and found the following: Radio: Akron-ISP Sports Network (Flagship station: Radio Free Ohio/WARF 1350-AM in Akron; WERE 1300-AM - in Cleveland) - Voice of the Zips Steve French (play-by-play), Frank Stams (color) and Joe Dunn (sidelines) have the call. Telecast: GoZips.com: The game will be webcast live outside the Akron area on the official UA Web site. Audio will be provided by the Akron-ISP Sports Network.
  5. I am in Houston as well, actually the Cypress area. I found the following off the game notes posted on the UNT.edu website. Looks like we should be good to go in Houston, at least on the radio. I will also try the video link provided at the beginning of this thread. GMG! Radio / TV Radio - KWRD 100.7 FM (Dallas/Fort Worth), KPXI 100.7 FM (Tyler/Longview), KAFR 88.3 FM (Houston) and KNTU 88.1 FM (Denton). George Dunham and Hank Dickenson. TV - None.
  6. Thanks guys for the great job on the Podcast. I really look forward to your weekly editions as it provides useful insight and perspective to UNT fans. Keep up the terrific job!
  7. Thanks......Two a days were awful tough, especially in the 100 plus degree heat. Saturday will be the pay off...as they play the National Champs. GMG
  8. Well I never thought I would be rootin against UT (my alma mater) , but GO MEAN GREEN! Hopefully my son Bryant will see some playing time at TE.
  9. Great job guys. Podcast format works for me....great insight and review of all the positions. You guys really do your homework...keep up the great work!
  10. These are great writeups...thanks for sharing. Did you already send out Preview Part 7? Looking for the one on Tight Ends.
  11. why does no one ever have faith in the team? I understand they had a real bad year last year, but the years before that were good. why does everyone criticize them all the time?
  12. I'M TIRED OF ALL OF THE GOD DAMN NEGATIVITY ON THIS SITE! Get off if u dont believe in the team and their capabilities. All anyone ever does is diss on the team and talks about how sorry they are. Well F that! yall are sorry fans for doin nothing but dissin on em! Its good to hear green grenade talking like that, shit i wish more ppl would support the team in the same way he does. You always back ur team no matter what n want the best for them no matter what, not always dissin on em n talkin about how bad everyone is. Im tired of hearin yalls non-supporting asses bitch. If u could do so much better then why arn't u out there? Atleast support ur team n think positively going into things. UT maybe far off...maybe not. they will still be very good n very talented, but either way u look at it they will have a freshman QB. If we go in there pumped up and in the right mood n confident in our abilities anything can happen. SMU however, is a much reachable goal n i think we will play well against them. But dont hate on green grenade becasue he supports the team in a positive way. Thanks Green Grenade. Ur the shit man, keep supportin!
  13. Well the GreeneyedDad doesn't have any tats either, nor does my son. Although he said that once he turned 18, he was going to get some...until he noticed the price! Ha, Ha,... My biggest concern is how they are put on....dirty needles, diseases...not for me! Interestingly, when I gave blood last month, they asked if I had a tattoo.....I guess you can't give blood either if you got one in the past 12 months...
  14. GreeneyedDad has the latest update...rivals.com just gave Bryant a two star rating. From what I can tell, there are a lot of great players that either never make it on rivals or don't get a rating. The key is to know someone from Rivals, who can help get on the database as well as a rating. We worked with the Cub Reporter who interviewed Bryant and knew of his skills. Then we sent in video and a short bio of accomplishments....all go into consideration as far as a rating goes. Not sure what to do if you don't knwo the Cub Reporter or try to do it on your own.....hmmmmmm!
  15. Good question, perhaps some people inflate their numbers to get recruiteres attention....I do know that Bryant ran a 4.53 at Northwestern's Technique Camp this past summer. He also has gained some pounds as well, up to 235....boy that boy can eat! I would say the numbers are accurate!
