  1. Lol. In 10 years. That isn't fixing anything. That game was fit to an opening in the schedule. Baker was bought here to fix things, one being the schedule. He hasn't. The funny thing is you were the same guy who said that series with Tech could never be scheduled because in state P5s would NEVER play at Apogee. This was back when you were defending the lady AD, remember? So congrats for being wrong. Twice. Lol. And you probably believe SMU is bringing in 23k a game and that UNT is actually averaging over 2l at the Pit this season, Talk to actual TCU season ticket holders about this. Many don't attend those games, and the one I know that did said there was maybe 23k in the stadium. And get it right. The Frog basketball bandwagon. UNT hasn't completely killed my football loyalty, but they are real damn close. its funny that the same 6 RV butt buddies are the ones constantly attacking. Lol.
  2. Apparently you haven't. Went to a TCU game when they play a FCS. Here is a hint: no one shows up. And I meant P5 team. I change the post. Wren Baker has done nothing to fix a terrible OOC schedule. This was the easy way out that makes the simpleton fans in the base happy. Unfortunately,it's the same ole RV scheduling that many have bitched about for years.
  3. I propose only keeping this series if you can schedule a P5 team at home before 2027. This is a one way series. UTEP and La Tech bring more fans to Apogee than SMU. Meanwhile, UNT is filling SMU coffers every other year because fans with zero aspirations to be better see this as UNT's Super Bowl.
  4. Knowing that you are basketball challenged, allow me to inform you that TCU hired Jamie Dixon away from Pitt. You may recognize that name from the multiple NCAA appearances he made while at Pitt. This is his first year and he has TCU on the cusp of a NCAA tournament birth, not at 12-20 in the Sun Belt. They may not make it this year, but there isn't a senior in there top 8 players. Oh, and the new Daniel Meyer is a real basketball facility. You think the Pit is so great, go watch a game there. It will change your opinion. For those of you that want to watch a team which is cared about by its university, is on the rise, has a great facility where the game presentation doesn't feel like a funeral, and has invested in a real college basketball coach, and if you live in Cowtown, I highly recommend TCU basketball. $250 a season and not a bad seat in the house. Kansas, Baylor, and many other top 25 teams on the schedule so you aren't stuck watching some D3 team you don't care about.
  5. Well, let's see: They still don't answer the main telephone number for tickets. You know, the one the casual fan would find on the internet and call. The one basketball game I went to, it took 15 minutes to buy a ticket by credit card. Hint: there wasn't a line. It was like a credit card was new technology.
  6. Funny, because that's what the UNT AD is RIGHT NOW.
  7. No, because I still hold season tickets to football. Keep it up and I'll keep them just to spite you. You are so transparent. Lol.
  8. THats a good question. I'll never support basketball again. I still have football season tickets for now. Maybe I'll just post to say i told you so and to piss you off. Lol
  9. You won't see changes because the good ole boy, suck ass to keep your job system is alive and well in Denton, Texas. Any university that took athletics seriously would have fixed this mess years ago. Same ole same ole all the time at UNT.
  10. I may just go myself. I'm buying TCU basketball season tickets next year. Unlike so many in this fan base, they care about winning and losing. And here is a hint. Prepare to be underwhelmed by this basketball hire. Then again, underwhelmed is fine wth you.
  11. Awe, how cute. Someone who doesn't know me using buzz words to pigeonhole me. Wren Baker was perfectly willing to let men's basketball go 0-18 in conference just so he didn't have to make a semi-hard decision to fire a guy that should have been fired 4 years ago. And you think he is going to clean up the mess that is the worst AD in America? Hide and watch. Oh, and get it right. It's much more bemusement at this point watching the same thing happen all over again and watching fans react in the same way as they did before. You think the outcome will be different? Lol.
  12. Oh boo f'n hoo. You care more about a freaking web site than winning. You never spoke up against RV. Never a bad word about your buddy. Freaking hanger on-er to the end. And you don't believe the BS revisiononist history that RV was long gone before way before fans with balls got pissed, you are just doing your good little errand boy job of propagating the President's backdoor narrative. Major donors have debunked your cute little story. In personal conversations.
  13. See, you can personally attack me like this all day long and the mods won't do one thing about it. That banner still burns your ass, doesn't it? Your poor little buddy had to go into the dead fish business. If you worked for me, your sucking my ass would get you no where. It would be time that you weren't doing your job. Something tells me you are very skilled in this department. Your lack of production would get you fired. Lol. I reported your post. I expect nothing to be done because I am fair game. Hell, I'll probably get banned for this response.
  14. Truth hurts your pro AD narrative, I know.
  15. Dear Seth Littrell, Recruit. Please.
  16. There will be no lay offs. There will be no consequences for anyone in the worst AD in America. That becomes clearer by the day. What has become crystal clear is that Wren Baker isn't going to rock the boat. Ever.
  17. I don't think ignoring huge past mistakes so that they can be repeated again is associated with any form of "sound management." But it's definitely associated with UNT management.
  18. Isn't it funny how Mitchell wasn't a head case the year before Benford? Isn't it funny how AD minions sold that narrative on this very forum? Players know when their coach can't. That's what happened to Mitchell... and Jones... and Hardwick... and every other player that this university wrongly threw under the bus to protect Rick Villarreal and Tony Benford. It's disgusting, and those that participated should be ashamed of themselves. They maligned 20 year old kids to protect a grown ass man that couldn't do his job.
  19. This was the easy out, and Baker took it.
  20. I'm not talking about fans. I'm talking about the UNT administration
  21. ... will fail miserably because no one cares if they are successful or not.
  22. I think Wren Baker and Harry have zero idea of the far reaching consequences refusing to fire Benford will have for UNT athletics. Then again, short sightedness has always been UNT strong suit when it comes to athletics,
  23. I would bet my retirement that this next hire under performs. THAts what happens when you don't give a crap about something. That don't give a crap rolls downhill.
  24. I'm considering just writing off the club seats as a sunk cost and going about my way. Baker has been beyond a disappointment in his inability to grasp UNT fan culture and appears to have enlisted in the C Dan Smith suck up club, a la one Rick Villarreal. Change won't happen at UNT in my lifetime, and I'm 52. I feel really sorry for those more advanced than I. Moral of the story? 98% of UNT alumni are right, and have been all along. Laugh it up. Your continued excuses for the crap handed to fans is part of a huge cultural problem at UNT. Now, go ahead and ban me again for saying something you don't like.
  25. The quote from Tony Mitchell says a hell of a lot. For players to be this critical (make no mistake, they were VERY critical) of Benford confirms everything any knowledgeable basketball fan knew to be true. He lost every team he coached every year. For 5 years. And UNT did nothing to stop him. That is the biggest news from this story. The university not caring one bit about a major program or the student athletes inside that program. But there are 2 games left for that to change, right? Right? Those players were still in college and couldn't comment after year 3, but it certainly could have been done after last year. I guess that's parking pass means a lot to Vito.
