  1. I want the NT Daily to endorse Obama, since I'm voting for McCain. THat would ensure a McCain victory.
  2. A special BIG Thanks to Flyer and all of the members of the SGA that worked so hard to make this reality. It really is a mircale that this passed with these economic times and a team that has not been competetive.
  3. Any publicity is good publicity?? Maybe we can now recruit the football hotbed that is the State of Washington.
  4. Couldn't help but notice the time (2:37 AM) of this post. Liquid courage???
  5. Thanks for all your hard work. May we anticipate a post tomorrow evening?
  6. In 21 hours, all will be done. Hopefully the "yes" vote wins by more than 10%, making any claim of fraud irrelevant. If the "no" vote wins, I would imagine the Administration already has an alternate plan of how they want to proceed. This may be why the President of UNT has been so incognito. I refuse to pull my hair out wondering what will happen (But I will sacrifice my pinky fingernail).
  7. Just the nail for me!!! Your more committed.
  8. I'd amputate my pinky finger fingernail for a new stadium.
  9. http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/Gre...e_Career/343726 If only players, coaches, AD staff, and Stadium yes voters had the commitment of this dude!!!!!!!
  10. Anyone know if this game is on TV anywhere?

Ya....VERY computer challenged! Alcoholics Combining Oncampus for Realizing Nadium (short for new stadium - and how new stadium is pronounced by members of this group).
  13. Thanks. Like a small child, I need positive reinforcement.

Assuming that the local watering holes have YFY, Maybe some students could go to these places on Thursday night (assuming that is still the big go out night up there, it's been a while) with laptops and recruit the vote. If I didn't have to work, I'd do it. Hell, I'd by any student a beer that was willing to vote yes! Now thats a good campaign tool with college students!!!! Call it the "Alcohol for Athletics" campaign!
  15. Flyer, 1st time I have ever heard you mutter these words. Please tell me you are not getting a bad feeling about this.
  16. It's about the demographic. Maybe Im wrong, and maybe most of the students that listen to this kind of music are already for the stadium (greeks), but I would be willing to bet my next paycheck that more students heard the comments on 95.9 than WBAP. (Safe bet, as it can NEVER be proved!!!!)
  17. Those stations have the same basic demographic for support of WBAP. Over 40 crowd. College kids listen to "Texas" Country. Just go and look at the Thursday night lineup of live music at the Rocking Rodeo. This station has much more influence than WBAP.
  18. Sorry it took so long to post this, but was away from my computer. While scanning the radio about 9 am, I cruised by 95.9 "The Ranch" just in time to hear them replay the audio from the 6 pm WBAP news story from yesterday. Afterwards, the disk jockeys added their own opinions. "Rebel", the female on the morning show stated that UNT didn't need a new stadium because the stadium that they have is a fine stadium. One of the males mentioned that his high school stadium was better than Fouts. "Rebel", who obviously is clueless about this issue, then responded that UNT should put the money into additional parking or other faciities. The male DJ pointed out that "rebel" played sports when younger and was suprised that she was against improved athletic facilities. Rebel responded that she played softball and that women sports never received proper funding and that she would like to see the money go to women's athletics before a stadium is built. Probably the most ignorant, irresponsible response that I have heard from any public outlet concerning this issue. This is not WBAP. This is a station that plays "Texas" Country music, which is widely popular among college students. I hate to call on the students again, but could a student from this board please correspond with this wildly misinformed.....DJ and provide her with some facts (like we were rated the #1 university in Title IX compliance in a study completed by Penn St. University, you will no doubt have to tell her what Title IX is). I think this would mean much more coming from a student then an Alum. Didn't have time to get a number for 95.9, but just google 95.9 The Ranch and it should get you there.
  19. Heard the story at 8 also. If anything, it was slanted toward the pro stadium side, which is just fine. The only way it would matter is if a parent of a student heard the initial report and motivated their apathic colleged aged kid to vote. While WBAP is a highly rated station, I don't think they are scoring big with the 18-24 demographic.
  20. The four polos are there to distract you from the fact that the dude is cross-eyed!!!
  21. Good Job. Hope she runs it before Friday. All of this for a story that any student under 50 won't here, but it must be done!
