  1. In the last 6 years we are 2-4 against UTA, it's far from time to panic. I'm not saying we'll win 20 this year, but step off the ledge.

06'...lost to them in game 3 and went on to win the belt.

07'...lost to them in game 4 and ended up losing in the quarters to wku. *this was Josh and Tristan's freshman year.

08'...lost to them in game 12 and ended up losing to wku in the semis

09'...beat them in game 2 by 2 points in double OT in game 2 and won the belt

10'...beat them in game 6 and lost in the finals to ark st.

11'...you know what happened in game 3.

Granted the games above were all within 10 points, but it shows that one, we struggle against this team and two, that a loss to them isn't the end of the world. Also, we've won 20 games in every one of the seasons above.

Good analysis, but we lost to UALR last year, not Ark. St.

  2. For all the complaints about attendance and tailgating is our problem the location of the stadium?

Is the off campus nature of the stadium that's keeping the students away?

I hate the remote layout of the parking lots and sprawled tailgating.

A very reasonable question in my book. It crossed my mind last night as well.

The stadium's location is set up for when we are "big time." The tailgate scene, all the space around the stadium, the way the parking is configured, etc. is set up with future considerations in mind. There shouldn't be any real "growing pains" later.

I think the spread out nature makes it feel more sparce. Or maybe a 4-6 record going in to the game just isn't a reason to get a lot of people excited.

  3. No. Our SOS wasn't enough. Our RPI is just over 100. Another great season though, just a tough way to end it. WKU has knocked us out of 3 of the last 4 tournaments...I think. I didn't look it up, just going off memory.

Didn't realize our RPI was that poor.

Great season regardless. Rare to see a Sun Belt soccer championship game without North Texas or Denver.

  4. You guys need to relax. You're on the right path in improving your football program. Even if you don't get an immediate invite from the MWCUSA, you'll have plenty of time to actually start dominating the Sun Belt. If that happens you'll get noticed and will get invited, period. Just because a team is locked out of realignment one year, doesn't mean they're out of it for the next phase, quite the opposite in my opinion. Focus on winning and all the blocks will start falling in place.

Stop coming in here and stating things logically. We're trying to freak out for no reason and you aren't helping!

  5. I would consider myself a pretty big Rangers fan - I did have a 10 game pack this year and went to Opening Day as well.

I gave up the opportunity to buy tickets for the ALCS so I could go the UNT game. I was really hoping for the Yankees last night so I could go to both, but when it didn't work out, my allegiance lies with my alma mater #1.

    Go Mean Green and Rangers!

  6. According to what I found in a web search:

Men can start practicing on October 14 in 2011....and October 12 in 2012.

(Used to be, that the start was always October 15---they changed that because there were too many Midnight Madness events on weekday nights.)

The women's formula is that they can start practice at 5 p.m........40 days before their first regular season game.

I hope this is all accurate....as we all know there can be wrong info on the internet.

Glad you found the info. My search didn't get me anywhere, other than finding the 2010 date.

  7. I'm a little confused on what location yall are talking about. Where specifically is it and is this an are which requires a parking pass?

The area I am referring to (and I think the others as well) is on the far east side of the blue/red lots, east of Victory.

  8. We parked on the grass in this area. It is lined on both sides with a foot wide concrete line, making it the perfect size of a vehicle. We backed up between the concrete lines and tailgated right our of our trucks out under the trees. It was a great location. We had enough room to spread out and really have a good time.

I was thinking it was brick for some reason instead of concrete. I'm sure you are right. Thanks for the help! I'm guessing our group will probably be in this area for the Indiana game.
