  1. I don't think it will be on in Dallas, as the Stars play that night on FSN.

For those with DirecTV, try Ch. 639. I believe it is a FSNSW alternate. That's where all of the Astros games are on if the Rangers are playing too. It may be on there.

Actually, looking at DirecTV's guide, Ch. 639 is showing the Rockets game. It is listed on Ch. 669, which is an ESPN alternate. The game is also on ESPN FullCourt, Ch. 695 for those with that package.

  2. I saw this on Fox Sports SW -

Can Anyone confirm this will be on tv?

  3. Who else is going? I know we're all hoping for a big turnout!

I'm excited to say that I'll be making the trek up from Dallas to watch this one. My wife and kids are staying home, so I'll either be sitting by myself or looking to hook up with some of you.

    GMG!!!!

Definately can't miss this one! I'll be there with the wife and a few friends (but not sure of the number yet).

  4. I've got an idea. Why don't we all step back, take a deep breath and give all the "attacks and counter attacks" against the coaches and the players a rest on this board. My guess is that each and every coach and each and every player is doing the best they can at this point to win some games this season. But, college sports (any sport) is not a situation where everyone gets a ribbon or a trophy for just showing up like in T-Ball, PeeWee Football, Youth Rec Soccer, etc. It's a tough "job", and no one goes out to lose, EVER! It's a new year with a new coach, with some coaches new to D-1 football, some new players and a pretty different situation than what we saw last season. Players KNOW the drill when new coaches arrive and coaches know they will be the ones who get blamed. This is a "new year" and it is a rebuilding year. How can anyone not realize that? Expectations, on this board, were set way too high as far as wins and loses were concerned for this year, so just step back and take a breath. We do not need to get on to personal attacks against players or coaches. No one goes out to lose on purpose. I have seen lots of thiongs that make me think we are on the path to being much better. Everyone here can remember when we beat Troy, but now Troy seems to be the "top dog" in the Sunbelt. Things change. Love or don't love DD, but everyone realized that something had to change. It did. So, let it develop. Give folks a chance to get things set the way they want them before you throw folks under the bus.

Everyone on this board is a MEAN GREEN fan or they would not be on this board and would not "care" so much about what happens to the team , its players and its coaches. But, folks have started attacking members of the board for their posts, coaches for not doing what they think they should be doing and players for either not playing up to some standard set on the board or even for not quitting the team. WOW!

Think about it, and let's get back to "talking football" and MEAN GREEN sports of all kinds and leave the personal attacks out of it. That's my say...what say you?

Great post, Mark. I couldn't agree more.

  5. Well yes your right sports south is not a fox sports channel, but the DirectTV sports pak is more than just Fox sports channels, it is pretty much all sports channels, (ESPNU, CSTV, Fox Sports, Comcast, etc.)

And like I said, I am recieving a feed as of now, but like you said the game could be blacked out. Now I would ask, why would they blackout a game to the primary watching audience. That would make absolutly no sense.

I didn't realize that the other channels were included too. Good thing I put the "I could be wrong..." clause in there first, just in case!

As far as why it would be blacked out to a primary watching audience, it doesn't make any sense at all. I'm just telling you what I was told.

  6. I could be wrong, but SportsSouth is not a Fox Sports Channel.

I called DirecTV to find out if we would get the game at T. J. Hartford's so we could have people in to watch it. It was too confusing for them and they had to speak with their supervisors to get a final answer. I was told the game would not be on, even though we are getting SportsSouth normally, as it will be blacked out once the game begins.

  7. Hey everyone,

    T. J. Hartford's in Lewisville will be hosting a game watching party for the North Texas vs. Louisiana-Lafayette game on Saturday night! Quite a few of you came out to our event on Saturday, the 18th with the Denton Co. chapter of the Exes and had a great time, and we'd love to have you back.

    Drink specials will be:

    $2.50 20oz Domestic Drafts

    $2.50 Margaritas

    $2 Wells

And... $0.05 games for the kids

Please reply to this thread if you plan to come out. The more the better, and the more Mean Green fans we have, the more we'll outnumber the A&M and Okie St. fans.

  8. Be careful posting this here.... The Police are on patrol....

    ON topic....

I applaud the Coach standing up for his player. Lot of team preach family but don't act on it when it matters... this coach displayed it 100%

I agree completely. We sometimes forget about how these guys are only 18-23 years old. They will make physical mistakes. It happens, even to professionals making millions.

I think it's great to see a coach stick up for this players like that. Who wouldn't want to go play for him?
