That is correct, guess the link from the UTA site is bad .... so it was 1300, seems a little low to me ... and i dont really think Dennis would of made that much of a difference in the game, whos time would he of taken? remember UTA was up by double digits before UNT made a pretty nice comeback in the last two minutes ... UTA controlled the first 18 minutes of the second half, and held off a nice run by UNT to end the game ... Dennis is a nice player, but I dont think he would of won the game for UNT ... you guys did not need outside shooting, you needed someone to park it in the middle of the zone to make UTA compress and THEN exploit the weakened zone with outside shots and inside moves ... by not exploiting the middle of the zone UNT played into the strenghts of the zone, that simple ... does not matter how many 3 point shooters you had, the shots were not there ....

The press defense that UTA played got to your young guards, quick hands tipped the ball countless times when it got to your bigs .... the top of the key was wide open all night, dont know if your coach noticed or not, but if you spot a guy in there (who can make it) and it forces UTA to change some things around ... UNT's chance at taking the game was the 1st half when Griffin was in foul trouble, the opportunity was missed and UTA capitalized UTA is a good team, and proved to be a better team thatn UNT tonight, that simple .... I think the way that game was played and the amount of UNT fans in there, it would be pretty close no matter where it was played .... Just two good teams going at it .... what makes me mad is that there was NO coverage by the local stations or newspapers ... both of our squads deserve more coverage than they get ...

hmmm not bad for a cupcake ...but since the game is over the smak talk hat can come off .... it was a good game, you guys had a great crowd there .... hopefully this will be a series that continues for many years .... good game ... your coach was saying on the radio that there is no courtside monitor so the shot could not of been reviewed ... Hopefully this game is the new beginning to a yearly series against UNT - UTA

Try 3 1/2 feet ..... give or take a few inches .... when standing against it I can rest my elbows and lean on the stage to watch a game ... I am 6" tall ... to do this on a 7 foot wall I would have to be around 8' and I would not be watching basketball I would be playing basketball ....

There are walls on either side of the goal, but you go about three feet behind the goal, there is the curtain, and then another 5-7 feet (it is a public walkway) to hit a wall ... you got to be one careless son of a gun to hit that wall .... I have seen over 80 games in Texas Hall, and only once have I seen a player come off the court, a UTA player was going full steam for a loose ball and jumped off the stage after he saved it, was in total control of where he was going the entire time .... not much different than having to hurdle a row of fans in most arenas ....

The Mavericks have been getting solid classes for the past few years .... this 2005 class is about on par as the 2003 class ..... the 2003 class actually has 3 players from the top 40 in the state .... But what helped this class, and hopefully future classes is that we have been getting it done quickly, allowing the coaches to spend more time on next year ..... A regular UNT - UTA matchup should happen when UTA gets the new arena ... no more excuses after that

It was their last home game of the year ... senior night .... and I am sure a lot of people wanted to see NCAA history be prevented ...... who wants to graduate from Savannah and have every interview have one "basketball" question ......

Stop calling it an ochestra pit...because it is not.....it is a 3-4 foot drop where the stage ends and the seating begins.....which is now normally lined by fans........ I have seen around 100 games at Texas Hall and only once has a player fallen off.......they jumped off after saving a loose ball....and they were OK..... it is called court awareness......if a player falls off the edge...which is about 5-9 feet from the edge of the court (depending on where you are) it is because they were running around recklessly and anyway in most arenas by that point they are running into fans......and would have to hurdle seats (which is also a way to get hurt) Texas Hall is just as "dangerous" as any arena if a player is not paying attention or running around recklessly........ and the band has always played to side, because frankly there is no room anywhere else for them to sit...... heck we will come to Denton to whup on you guys anyway

I dont know what UTA you are talking about.....but I can guarantee NOTHING like that would ever happen now........ I dont even care if UNT comes to Arlington.........I would not mind going up to Denton one bit.....

Bravo as I said in an earlier post, UNT should not fell "bad" for losing to UTA....they have beaten better teams then you guys........it is not a jab or anything, look at our wins........UNT was a good win for us, and I give all the credit in the world to your women's coach for scheduling us when you men's coach wont..... I read a quote asking you mens coach a question about scheduling more local teams........his reply was basically either they wont play us or it would hurt our RPI too much....that was an obvious shot at UTA...... part of the reason UTA's RPI is low is the fact that teams will not play us.......but what makes your coach full of it is this year you have teams on your schedule that we played and beat last year......... I say bring it on...there should be a DFW basketball tournament....with UTA / UNT / TCU / SMU / and any others you can think of.......rotate the host campus every year or play in a neutral locale....... all of our schools have enough trouble getting butts in the seats and ignoring potential rivalry games is foolish on all parts..........I have no idea if UTA is making a conscious effort to play UNT / SMU but they should...we have played TCU the past 2 years........

UNT is not even close to being the best team we have beaten..... UTA basketball is no pushover......we have a very good veteran team..... and a very good young coach in Donna Capps........we have beaten Kansas, Arkansas Little-Rock, New Mexico State, Southern Utah we also took #24 Villanova to the final shot...... we needed this win after the absolute shallacking we took in Austin.....but you guys should not take any shame in losing to us.........

Boy that roster is absolutely owned by UTA and UNT.......good to see some Mavericks playing pro-ball

Currently Texas has the best Football recruits and the best Basketball recruits....there are SSSOOO many good bball players in TX it allows most of the big schools to get players from TX, UT is always loaded and schools like UNT, UTA can still get quality players........... Texas is loaded with talent......
