If the Air Force is coming to Fouts, I hope they bring a bomb.

In the coordinator's listing, it says that Florida State is working on a deal to land Fisher as the OC for a year or two, then replace Bowden when he retires, which fits the rumor I heard.

I would like to see some college experience on his staff, but I'd also want him to bring some guys with him. This sounds about right to me.

My prediction: UNT-22 USM-11 Jamario will still be running wild Wednesday morning.

Jamario reminds me more of Eric Dickerson with the straight up style and running out of tackles. I actually looked for that comparison with Jones last night, and, while they're both explosive, there's no doubt that Thomas has the more straight up style with a little more power.

I'm a regular enough poster here, and I've seen several "fire Dickey" posts here.

the point is moot if the name being offered up wouldn't come here.

How come we never see any of these Dickey haters answer the ONE question we all have to ask: what makes any of them think that Zook would come here in the first place? I've seen the fire Dickey, Hire (insert coach of your choice here) threads several times, but NOT ONE of these people has EVER answered that question.

I don't think we have the all around players, or depth to compete at the "Next Level" The fact is that this team has not been competitive consistantly with Big 12 teams over the last few years. Yes, we beat Baylor when they were at their worst, but when you consider that we were shut out by Texas two years ago, weren't even close with OU, and lost to Baylor, Colorado, and Texas this year shows that we don't have the depth to compete for 4 quarters. I think it will take at least 10 years to get to that next level, and the first probably 2 or 3 of Dickey's were a wash. That said, I think it would be a monumental mistake to fire Dickey now. Remember when we were in the Big West and couldn't compete there? Remember when were 1-AA? We're still a new school fighting for respect, and struggling to build a program. You are asking to fire a guy who has taken the school to 3 consecutive bowl games, which we haven't been to since before the dawn of time. You don't just say, "...here we are, we're at the next level now...." which is what a lot of folks want to do. Give Dickey 3-5 more years to see if we can take it to the next level. The way things are going now, the worst that can happen is that we remain major player in the conference we are in. I don't see this entire program taking a step back. We may not win it every year, and the streak will end eventually, but this program in one helluva lot better shape than it was during any preceding administrations of my lifetime.

I don't think we're ready to go to the next level. Facilities wise- we're getting there, but players wise, I don't think so yet. Give the Buick a little more time. This isn't a 5 or 6 year plan, it will take about 10 to get us where we want to be, I'd imagine.

for me it's not a matter of who I'd rather have coaching UNT, but a matter of not wanting Zook. He couldn't pee a drop with a hugely talanted Florida. If we're going to bring someone in here, and I'm not saying we should, I wouldn't want someone who was in a high profile position, but couldn't do the job. Just because he's a well publicized name doesn't mean he's a great coach.

I was also not at the game on Saturday, and I can see both sides of the arguement. you shouldn't be allowed to bring in bottled water from the outside. but the concessions should have ordered more water in the first place. That's just simple logic. "Hey, they're not going to let people bring water in this year...better order more." You shouldn't be able to sit in seats that you didn't pay for. but you shouldn't have been allowed to sit there in the first place. There's no need to be a piehole about it if you have a security shirt on. That's stupid. The University's perspective should be to listen to the fans, and remember those people that were talked into going to the game by friends, and now may not return. We need their attendence as much as anyone. Fringe supporters become solid supporters, etc.
