Convention Center on Apogee Hill

It seems like it would take up some space, but not all of it.

Still looks to be plenty of tailgating space. Plus, lots of folks do not use the hill area for tailgating, but use the red and blue lots. With the space left on the hill and the lots, all should be fine. Might even make it a tad cozier!

Where are all the feeder roads and widening of roads for all this at the Mean Green Village? You can start with the immediate widening of Bonnie Brae of which I thought Denton had already pledged it would do?

If we want more congestion when we start selling out Apogee which our enrollment & area's continue growth will cause us to all but back-up into doing each Game Day--promotions or no promotions); but wasn't it originally agreed that the City of Denton was going to help out with Bonnie Brae (of which even 4 lanes may not be wide enough anymore)? Another joint project with that between UNT and Denton, perhaps?

And one mentioned Indoor Tailgating? How's bout' merely transferring those which begin outside into Apogee Stadium pre-kickoff for starters?

Yes, Jim the City of Denton did agree to widen Bonnie Brae and have begun purchasing right-of-way. But, as you might guess, some property owners do not agree on the amount that the city is willing to pay for their frontage. They'll no doubt drag their feet until about the time of the opening of the convention center. Did you forget that Bonnie Brae is the western edge of Denia Park?

Anyword on beer sales in the stadium and how far away we are from that? Went to another SMU game at 6 pm on a weeknight and it was over half capacity guaranteed 3/4 were there strictly for beer.

That's a drastic over prediction. 3/4 there for beer!!? Beer is so cheap to buy at the grocery store that I doubt that 3/4 were there just for beer. Beer is sold other places than college sporting events. However, it is time to start selling beer, and it is coming. Just not coming next year.
