Wish the game was a little better and the score more indicative of the talent we have on the field... Skip Holtz has literally ruined what we spent over 6 years building up - Plan on making the trip to Denton as many times as possible and hopefully for baseball one day! I have to say it's very hard watching the product we put on the field last Saturday as a Tech fan - very hard And that is not a knock on UNT - y'all know what you do and do it very well - basically physical hard football Good luck the rest of the year! Depends on your age - if you are "seasoned" you should be fine - If you are "fresh" its better to use precaution - it is Homecoming and I expect the Tech Barneys and ATF guys/gals to be out in force... Most of the time they are decent but I always give visitors a "heads-up" Be sure to visit us at www.latechbbb.com sometime this week - We are irreverent and not very nice but highly entertaining

Any other coach and I would float a hat bet out to anyone willing to make the gamble - That will have to wait for basketball season

Be careful coming over - Here are some tips - 1) Most parking around the stadium is reserved - but you can park in the rugby hill for $10. Best bet is to park on campus for free and make the short walk over 2) There will be no lack of food - plenty of people will feed you 3) If you drink - ditch the can or bottle and pour into the cup - white Styrofoam is best, red solo is for losers from Oklahoma 4) Supposed to be nice weather - High 70's in the afternoon with some cloud cover so the east side will not be too blinding I'm not a Skip Holtz fan - thought it was a mistake from the get go and nothing I have seen makes me think otherwise We have Dixon, who is a man amongst boys and a promising young qb - so goes Dixon so goes us Our defense is psychotic at best We tend to turn the ball over in the absolute worst and stupidest locations - mainly driving for the winning score Glad ya'll are in the conference with us Enjoy the beautiful campus and improving facilities - Here are some joints to eat at - Dowlings - BBQ (best in town) just north of the Tech Exit Dawghouse - best burgers and onion straws around (service is slow, but food is great) off Homer Street behind the campus Cheeburger Cheeburger - good burgers also Log Cabin - good grill with lots of variety (Farmerville Hwy) Ponchatolas - downtown if you want a Cajun flair Scott's Catfish - Famerville Hwy Ronin - if you like Hibachi type grill Peeking - if you want Pekinese type buffet We also have the stable of Canes, Zaxbys, Chilis, Applebees, Logans, etal Have fun and see y'all there

What sends the better message - A school seeking the new membership sending the private plane of the school's biggest donor to your door step to pick you up and then making a quick stop in Dallas to pick up school's most visible alumnus and flying you direct to the school... Or sending the suits two tickets to fly in on a commercial airline that is a 45 minute car ride from campus?

FWIW - The AD's and President's were given a list of dates the visits would be made by BB & CT and were allowed to chose the date that worked best for them - don't read anything into who was visited on what date, the date was set by the school, not the suitor....

If you can't poke fun at yourself, who can you make fun of?

Yep its 2011 and 2012 we have the opening due to Boise leaving for the MWC.... I like playing the Mean Green - it adds to my HAT collection each time - Home and Home sounds great - Ya'll and the Cajuns are the two SBC programs I have no problems with and I always seem to enjoy my trips to your venues....

We just had a slot open up for 2012-2013....

Why should we be pissed? $20MM project with over $9MM already in the bank that will totally change the look and feel of Tech Athletics and it is all privately funded - no taxpayer dollars and no student fees....
