  1. I've noticed Tulsa has been getting a lot of recruits from the Dallas area for some time now. This time UNT has actually been going after these guys and they end up choosing Tulsa over us. Just an observation, at least we are trying to go after these kids.

  3. Mean Green haul in another steal Posted: Tuesday, January 23, 2007Austin Westlake running back Bron Hager (6-foot-1, 210 pounds) has committed to UNT.

Hager, a Star-Telegram State 100 player, drew plenty of praise in the Class 5A Division I state title game against Carroll. He finished with 10 carries for 37 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and caught five passes for 75 yards.— Trae Thompson

Were there any other schools that offer him a schlorship?

  4. A telling remark in this section of the sports page, "...another reason Todd Dodge will succeed at North Texas: DISD coaches say they're seeing UNT assistants on their campuses for the first time in years..."

Amazing! We all knew it, but it is still unbelievable to hear it. How this happened in the past is still beyond me.

Where are you getting this information from? Not that I am questioning your statement but is this in print media or from other sources?

  5. I noticed on Rivals.com that all of these guys have North Texas listed in their schools. Does anyone know if we are in fact recruiting them? (Check out Nate Brown's video and watch him stiff arm the s**t out of a bunch of defenders.)

Demario Adley WR Dallas Lincoln 5'11" 176

Jarvis Carraway RB Texas City 5'9" 194

Jake Hicks OL Montgomery 6'4" 260

Anthony Harris DL FW Christian 6'7" 225

Nate Brown ATH Burkburnett 5'10" 174

Huntley Grichor ATH Klein 6'1" 180

    GMG!

    We need some linemen.

  6. occurding to rivals.com we havn't in the past 4 years atleast.. the highest we have had were 3 stars and they were Ron Veal (2002), Charles DuPree (2003), Michael Pruitt (2003), T.J. Covington (2004), Jamario Thomas (2004), and Willie Ransom (2005)

How long did Ron Veal and Charles Dupree last? I have not heard anything about them the last couple of years.

  7. I posted this in the BREAKING NEWS thread, and I believe that some believed I was serious. I was just wanting to make sure those who might have taken me seriously understand this is just a joke!

I was hoping that the positions listed for Flanigan would throw up red flags that would stand out as a joke.

I don't want my cred lost by those who might have misunderstood my attempt at humor.

    Everything is cool Big Dawn.

  8. I give all of you alot of credit for seeing the reminder of the game. I left as soon as regular time expired. It was just to much excitment for me and I would of felt like crap if BS would have lost. My loss after seeing the score this morning. I'd hope to see NT follow in BS foot steps.

  9. Harry. This was another good podcast, but something I disagree is that I want to see a dynasty if TD can turn this program around. I am tired of always seeing the big schools always getting the rewards. I want to see the underdogs being reward like the Boise St., Louiville, etc being 1# in the country.

Urban Meyers did turn the program at Utah. They built all these athletics facalities for him and he went 11-0 before he moved on to Florida. I often wonder if he would have stayed at Utah they would be 1# in the country.

I guess I grew up with loyality and even thought it doesn't exit ,I'd like to see it return.

  10. By the way, a few "facts" reported on ponyfans.

1)Todd Dodge had better athletes at Carroll and coming to NT will give him only a "slight" upgrade at running back.  Man, that must really make 24-6 sting.

2)NT takes the players who are partial qualifiers and aren't very smart.

3)Todd Dodge will fail as a coach at NT...but will then get a coordinators job at a bigger school.    unsure.gif  blink.gif

I got to give you credit Emmitt for going on the Pony page and stating your opinion. Like we say in South Texas when you stir a hornet's nest, you got some "juevos" for that posting.

  11. Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I don't recognize the name. I thought Lee Jackson was the Provost and head of academic affairs??

Please give us some history. There alot of us that are 300 miles away and don't know about how these individuals damage our university. sad.gif
