It is just a practice. They will not be in full pads. Helmets and shoulder pads.

Another thing that I didn't mention, and I don't want this statement to weigh too much on anyone because it was JUST A SCRIMMAGE, but I went into this scrimmage more than a little worried about our chances at "the drive for five," but left the scrimmage not that worried anymore.
Granted it will be difficult, not a cakewalk by any means, but I definately feel we can do it if we stay healthy and up to our capability. We looked real good out there for a scrimmage.
There were several people out there today that agreed with me when I said that we may lack experience at several positions, but the athleticism of this group is far better than we have had in along time.
MedPiliot said it best out there today when he said that last year no one could catch J-Mo, but now we have some people who can get close.
Also, J-Mo and Cobbs look to have legs the size of a man's 34 waist!
And to answer your questions about J-Mo putting on some weight, NO HE HAS NOT LOST A STEP! Someone at the scrimmage asked that questions right before he broke one for about 30.
He also on one play carried 3 tacklers on his back!

Cobbs and Thomas both had a couple of long runs. Forgot to throw that in there, just thought you guys would probably expect that anyway, right!

There is so Cullens or Davison on the team this year.
I mean't Cullin Mills and TE Beau Davidson. I had heard that at the beginning of last year he was thinking about leaving the team.

Odds are you can forget gilmore at D-Line...UTEP recruited him hard at D-Line not TE. NT stole him late because they committed to him that he would play TE.
Things change I know...but this kids wants to be a TE.
Has anybody heard how Cullens is doing at Qb? Didn't Davison almost quite the team last year?

Is Iean from Harker Heights coming back on the team? I had heard he left the team during the spring but want to be back in uniform.

Does anybody actually believe that Ramon is ready for a HC position or even an OC at an upper Conference School. I think he would be best suited taking a D-II or small I-AA and work from there. His playcalling this past year was *ahem* not Great.
Plus would he have any clue on how to coach the defense, yes he can obviously help recruit, but nothing sticks out and he could not even make the finalists list at the Tennessee State job.
What is the difference between a Division D- II and a small I-AA ?

I use to have a baseball card of him when he was coming up with Baltimore. He was back up to that other famous catcher they had during those great teams in the late 60's
