When looking at the Walk-on list, I am curous how it works. Do all the guys stay on roster or get cut? Do some guy just say I changed my mind. I guess I have to be at the practice but I am so far away here in SA. Can anybody give me a rundown on some of these walk-ons. I saw somebody by the name of "Knockus" from the Austin area but does not give position. Will there be up to date info on some of these walk-on on GMG? Thank you.

He was a stud out of high school, went to the University of Arkansas than went to USC. He is from Arkansas, but thats not too far.

The BCS capping at 64 is a very real possibility. In reality it is already that way now with the 6 auto-BCS qualifiers and the 5 non-auto BCS conferences. The titling may change but the results the same, the haves and havenots for the $$.
As for UNT, I'm not sold on the SunBelt ever rising to the promised land. I'm in favor of any moveup to a more established conference. Image is everything. Otherwise, the best we can hope for is they keep us under some kind of BCS umbrella with very limited access to a future BCS bowl.

The other day in the DNC I responsed to a couple of people that posted that NT is not doing anything to recruit in Denton. I stated that it comes down to funding to get the 4 & 5 star recruits. Would you not say that that not having the money is the main reason we cannot move up to a better conference? I know that T Boone Pickens contributed a lot of his fortune to Sports at Okla. St.

nately I was laid off last month as a Dairy Sales Representative in San Antonio,Tx.calling on the grocery trade. Have had stable employment for last 15 years with just 2 jobs, included is the recent one. Most of my experience has been in grocery related business.
I am open to other professions but cannot relocate because of family. Am not interested in intangibles like Insurance , Advertising, or Financials.
If anybody knows contacts even thought they might not have positions, they may know somebody who does. Please let me know.

Huge improvement at the Defensive End position this year. Twice the numbers of quality players, twice the size and twice the talent. I honestly feel like we have a fighting chance to improve our pass rush...Miller, Gaines, Weber, Anyiem, AK47, Heming, Boutwell, Cantly...not to mention a freshman stud in Aaron Bellazin on the way...

I took you alls advise about getting Meangreen Sports Internet TV for watching Ohio. I decided to cancel the subscription on Sept 29 through meangreensports web site and notify me by cell phone to confern e-mail request cancellation. I never heard from anybody so I contacted the alumni office who referred me to a Paul B. I left a message yesterday on his voice mail but have not heard from him.
In between the Alumni Office and Paul B, I spoke to a real helpful guy from Sport Information who told me that Internet TV is associated with Jump TV. I thought it was just an advertisement so I contacted Jump TV by e-mail because there are no phone numbers anywhere with Jump TV or Meangreen Sports. Jump TV has not contacted me.
How do I get this service canceled? I do not want them deducting me $10 every month. Thanks

I decided not to go to the game because of the rain and I have decided to watch over the Internet TV. I don't understand how it works but can I pay the $9.95 for this one game without them deducting a fee every month? I tryed calling the Athletic Dept. only to get voice mail. Thank you

This is very sad news if true. To be so close to finishing his career. Life is not all about football as it comes and goes so quickly in the grand scheme of life. Having been in the business world in Dallas for almost 30 years, I know the value ex SMU athletes have in the business community. There are plenty of successful SMU alums in the local business world who love to hire one of their own (especially athletes). Having the label of "quitter" could and may lessen his career marketability. If anyone knows him or someone in his family, please do what you can to talk him out of this if not too late!! He needs to consider what his Father would want him to do. What his fan base would want him to do. This is a serious decision.
Very well written. Mistakes in youth follow you the rest of your life.

Please, maybe you guys can educate me being that so much is being reported about health care. Did the university find out that your wife has cancer. The reason I ask is that a couple of years ago we had a Life Insurance representative contact my mother about purchasing a life insurance policy because she had a sizeable nest egg. However my late mom was at that time was in one of those independent living communities. My wife told the agent to get lost and at that time she was showing signs of Alzshiemer and was later diagnosed. A different financial advisors told me that even though it would of been a good investment tax wise, the insurance company could now find out about her illness and disqualify her.
