Should have given him the ball more at El Paso.

What this is telling me is that this coaching staff is leaving no stone unturned in scouting for talent. I mean, how may of us even know where the Siskiyous are (hint, Oregon mountains, not the Cascades, not the Coast Ranges), much less that there's a jc there.

It won't happen. At least it doesn't happen in the time travel shows I watch. Maybe you could be nice to someone before they meet their fate, but prevent their untimely death? Too many unintended consequences.

Well, my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Goree participating in an unsanctioned street fight with a robot last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
I heard Goree and Robinson were caught in a four way with a blow up doll and a robot lover.

Haha, no. Far left wingers wouldn't dare recognize that. They're too busy being all cultured and stuff or growing impressive mustaches to look interesting.
And this has what to do with football?

Looking all up Army, including the unis. They're in complete control of this one.
I was a bit surprised to see their uni featuring the unit patch of my old unit, the 82nd Airborne Division. Here's some explanation of that "paratrooper look" (as I left the Army, the 82nd was the only true "Airborne", i.e. "Paratrooper" Division remaining). Also, (and you have to read all the way to the bottom, as I know you always do), the explanation of the 82nd's "All American" nickname, which, by the way, dates from World War 1, when someone noticed that the 82nd Division had members from all states, at a time when almost all divisions drew their members from the same state:

This article, from the Fayetteville Observer, has an awesome video imbedded, honoring the 82nd Airborne in World War 2:
Another one, in case the above link doesn't work, includes a pretty good explanation of the "All American" nick, and a mention of our HOD bowl matchup:
And, by the way, Jeff Monken was wearing the version of the 82nd Unit Patch for dress uniforms, in red white and blue.

I hope folks can take this as enough reason to quit thinking "easy bowl win".

First bowl game in 6 years for the Black Knights. They will be motivated.
Rick
They're cadets at West Point; they are motivated. Being an ex paratrooper, I'm hoping the Golden Knights will perform.

We've probably been too kind to Bleacher Report, perhaps repaying a kindness, but they're really bad at what they do.

My bad. Long day.
If you were in El Paso today, it was probably one of the worst days there since the one Marty Robbins sang about.

I gave you 1 for giving me 1 for giving him 1. If more people did this on their work email, they could shut the internet down.

Tried to give you a +1 for your quote, but magically, it won't post it. Something smells fishy. Is everything on the up and up around here?
I gave him one on your behalf, as a matter of honor.

I like the idea but I watched the press conference last night and Strong couldn't put together a complete sentence. Hey, at least Seth can come up with a sentence and 5 wins.
A complete sentence is always good, but can't UT just come out with one for Strong. I mean, a grown man, especially a coach, can understand "you're fired".

So, does anyone know if there are still those missile themed street names in the area? Of course, there was Missile Base Road, but there was a nearby subdivision with streets named after various missiles, "Saturn", etc.

Great site. I was amused that they rank the best to worst five-year periods of UNT football. Here are the five worst five-year periods. There's a common theme in four of them:
Well, I guess it's good to know that one has to go back over a hundred years to see the kind of futility you and I witnessed here recently. Also, it's reassuring to know that (barely, after those years), we still have an overall winning record. This season has been very important in so many ways.

No Goree tonight, whats the deal there?
Super impressed with Elijah. After his first catch, I was like, "Who Dis?".
Goree and another WR out for team rules violation. Here's a bio from Elijah Mac's high school: http://www.graceprep.org/mcintyre-signs-with-unt/.

I'm cool with it, because I don't have any place to keep the darn thing. If the cheerleaders got more tangible benefits from their work for the AD, maybe I could see a problem. Was the raffle very well publicized? I haven't been keeping up, so just wonder.

Without looking, I think we have played more games against Texas State than any other school in our history.
I would have preferred SWTxStU-SM to UTSA to have been let in to CUSA. It is a better school and has a better athletics program across the board.
UTSA does absolutely nothing for CUSA at all. Absolutely no redeeming qualities for the conference as a whole. It was an unfortunate selection by CUSA.
Hell yeah, we could have been floating the Comal every other year. I wonder if they still have that little tourist trap next to it with the piano playing chicken. And then there's the "Texas State" connection.

Have we Halloween time traveled back to last years homecoming game? Will DMac be fired this coming Saturday?

Hey, the stand really impressed a lot of people around the area. I know of at least 1 guy, an A$M grad, who had never seen a UNT football game, somehow got comped tickets for the night, and marvelled about the greatness of it.
