The team is a bit demoralized after recent close losses and little depth

They were lopsided the whole game. Not the reason we lost, but way too lopsided.
Style of play . They were also better on the glass which drew fouls .

Foul trouble on the bigs did us in .

Kennedy running down the bench doing the possession motion should be played for the team over and over again .

Jason is not only a great player on the court but he is a student of the game . He Studies hard and is very respectful of his coaches and teammates.
He will be successful in whatever he does .

I like Christian Moore getting more minutes tonight.

That’s good news . I took that information off a national injury report on all teams.

I see no reason to rush either back until the final week or two of the regular season. East Carolina on March 3rd would be a good target date, IMO. Gives 3 games to work out the rotation before the postseason.
Rubin now says out indefinitely. CJ says day to day.

Hoo is the one playing that you feel is not at this level? I think everyone that plays is “at this level”.
This team was 5-5 with a healthy Rubin & CJ. This team limped into conference play at 7-5 (Thank you UT-Arlington & LSU Shreveport). I am not trying to “troll”, but what makes you think that those 2 are the missing piece to a legit shot at the regular season title or conference championship? Again, not trolling. But if you know something that can give me hope, then I’m all ears.
If we had CJ and RJ healthy, we would have been able to close out all of these recent close losses. I think a similar run as the NIT would be possible to win the conference tournament this year with them.

I think Stone would be a solid contributor at a Southland conference or similar level school. He handled his role in CUSA but American conference is now a cut above his level.

It’s ok to be disappointed. Ok to make suggestions. I am glad we are in the position of having had so much recent success to then feel this way.
All of the players in the game play their hard and give 100% . I am grateful for them. . A few on the bench and 1 playing is not at this level is all .
With a healthy Rubin and CJ , no doubt we had a legit chance to win the regular season title and conference tournament.

Little Chris can play more . He is not scared .

Depth depth depth .
We are losing these games in the offseason. We catch ourselves hoping for something good late in recruiting season . Then settle late . This will take $$$$$ . Also encourage some of the bench to move on to lesser conferences or D 2.- 1

This game is killing me! We are even with these teams …maybe better if healthy!

Look at it this way : we had to win the conference tournament every year before to get into March Madness . This is no different.
19 wins and I see an NIT invite as possible. 20 a definite entry into the NIT.- 1

I watch every game I can now . Super fun team that plays with passion.

How far we have come!

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - On a record-setting night for No. 5 Maryland, coach Gary Williamsallowed himself to loosen his tie and crack a joke.
Lonny Baxter set a school record by hitting all 10 of his field goal attempts and scored 28 points Wednesday night as the Terrapins registered the most lopsided victory in school history, 132-57 over winless North Texas.

Quality game, class teams , no complaints. 3s at the end could have gone either way.

Coach Hodge deserves a lot of credit for his leadership of the players. Several things stick out:
1. Keeping cool as a team when bad calls happen. (Maybe he could set an NBA player straight just south of us)
2. Allowing the players to play with passion, yet controlled passion .
3. Every court huddle is legit. A stick together culture
4. He loves his players. He opens his home and office to the players and staff.
5. Allow for celebration of hard work paying off and success.

South Florida was a very hard team to beat . Good European players who could knock down medium range jumpers and 3s . Good team offense, savvy and sharp shooters. It was a nice win . I think the best of the season so far.

I would rather lose vs. Charlotte and pick up urgency for SMU and tough stretch than get complacent.

All good . Conference has respect. No more than 2 are getting to the Big Dance anyway. We have to win either the conference regular season or tournament to get in . FAU or Memphis can finish 2nd in conference and still get in.
