I don’t think Allo or Mattu are on scholarship. Perhaps we have more scholarships available even with Morgan .

In case anyone is having negative feelings toward Tylor (hopefully not ) , we are not in his shoes and do not know his or his family circumstances. There could be tremendous weight on him that you have not considered.

My biggest takeaways from watching the event replay :
1. The emotion for Tylor and how hard it is leaving his teammates.
2. I really like Burton and see a good leader.
3. The reality that success and leadership demand high character and can be real tests for a person . Let’s all 🙏 and / or wish for Ross’ protection .

Dang so I am thinking only 5 scholarship players back at most : Jones , Scott , Moore , Sissoko and Stone

Tylor was a gift to UNT , to us , to the basketball program, and to Denton. We were blessed to have him for 2 years.
in the old days , JUCO transfers only played 2 years in D I .
Let’s hope TP earns some good money for himself and his family.

Pending NCAA providence, I was thinking Martinez, Eady, and Huntsberry were the only ones done. Is that correct?
That’s correct.

Morgan has shown anything and should transfer down. Why is Perry’s return based on NIL support? Is Eady out of eligibility?
Yes on Eady. On Perry , it’s not officially based on NIL. UNT needs to support him is all I mean or he could leave.

I’d rather have Jemison

With Abou leaving, I would take Sharp plus McKnight to replace Kai.

Heard before the tournament that Morgan was going to transfer. Maybe Hodge can convince him to stay, if he wants him.
It would be a good move for him to go to a Southland conference type school.

I believe so. I would love to have both Sharp and McKnight . I think they both fit our culture. I would take Sharp over the UTSA center easily .

This is no surprise but do not assume the family reason was wrong or a smoke screen . His family may want him closer.

Kai?
Only if by some miracle we can get him another year from the NCAA.

Yes . Another big man as Morgan has a ways to go . A 6-3 to 6-4 guard who can defend and shoot well , a 6-2 to 6-4 slasher and a 6-6 to 6-8 forward who can compete in the AAC . Hopefully we do not need a PG.

Perry (pending NIL support), Jones , Scott , Sissoko , Stone , Cotton (FR.) , Abou (maybe ) , Moore , Morgan, 4 TBD
Allo , Mattu (walkons)

I got sports choked up reading the press release. I am happy for everyone involved. I hope all of the players who have eligibility and got PT stay . AAC is a good showcase for these guys rather than on a power conference bench .

Reward of continued winning tradition over much risk . That is all.

I had a rare nose bleed too. But I didn't see the tweet. Do I want to?
It’s an 8 second video of Grant boarding a plane in a red sweater saying let’s go win some championships and wreck ‘em.

So , I had a nose bleed 🩸 for the fire time in my life this morning. Then I see the tweet of the plane boarding for Lubbock with the red sweater. Coincidence? I think not !

UAB is really good and well coached . Kennedy seemed baffled a bit at halftime by Hodge’s defensive genius. Hire the man !

UNT hoops fan since 1990 here . I am grateful to the players and entire staff . These people have been a gift to me to watch . Beyond words and still stunned .
UAB brought out the best in us and I thought their players and coaches were also class acts . Thank you UAB.

Yeah , if anyone in this basketball board and who has been a fan for even 10 years and isn’t shedding a tear , they are not human .
