Agree on Kai being that guy . Tylor can not do this a lot due to opposition interior size and punishment on him. I wonder if Alex Cotton is a slasher ?

It takes 40 tough minutes every game in this league. I like our toughness.

It’s the little things that will make the difference in conference play : free throw shooting, limit turnovers, and good ball movement.

We need these other players like Eady, Stone, Martinez to continue to develop and get points. Sissoko played the most minutes in a long time but they never fed him the ball. With Abu in foul trouble again I don't see why he didn't get even more minutes. Jones is slowly getting back to his old self which is nice to see. I would like to see Moore in there especially the last 6 or so minutes. He already used his redshirt right? Am I missing something and they are trying to preserve his eligibility?
Agree 100% on Moore . Give him 3 minutes per half to get him experience. 2 minutes per half to Morgan too.

Being a head coach has a lot to do with great leadership. We have hired Coach Morris banking on him being a great leader AND football mind. You can not measure the coaching staff until they come under this leader and until they get a chance to prove themselves in this system. Leaders build leaders. Let's give Coach Morris a chance to do that.

When Abou is out, the UNT offense iooks like that of the Mavs: Give the ball to Luka / Tylor and let him do his thing and "I don't want the ball because Luka / Tylor is in charge." The difference is Luka is big and can get his own shot whenever. Tylor is 5'11 and can't do the same consistently (no knock on Tylor at all as it is a size thing.
So, what's the answer? 1.) Abou not in foul trouble and the offense runs similar to when it did with Zach in the middle as Abou draws similar attention. 2.) If Abou is in foul trouble, then we need Kai to dribble penetrate too and get the ball rotating. Open shots are better for Stone, Rubin and Eady. 3.) Tylor can continue to do his thing but not every possession so he gets a break once in a while and so the offense has some mix to its flow.

3 keys to victory
1. Abou established in he paint and not in foul trouble
2. Shoot 40% from 3 point range
3. Perimeter defense holds FAU to under 30% beyond the arc.

I hope the opponent focus on Abou contributes to better 3 point % with ball movement. Tylor is a really good shooter. We need others to shoot a bit better.

Get Germany in foul trouble and it’s a blowout. If he gets Abou in foul trouble, it could be really close .

You don’t know what you don’t know and none of us know. So….I am excited about the possibilities. Younger coaches who can relate to players , who have passion, and likely have been humble in learning from other coaches to get them to this point.

We must move quick . We also lost a juco OL, Deonte Bowie, who had interest to South Florida.

Free throws must improve. I would like to see Moore and Morgan get a few more meaningful minutes as you never know how injuries can continue and cause more need for them .

Totally agree. We are going to have to find the hidden gems and it will take great scouting to find them The NIL is making it tougher to get the 3 stars or above.

I really appreciate the kind of players we recruit as people . The coaches can work with these guys and get the best out of these players Kind of like the Spurs philosophy of signing players.
We look better the last two years at this point in the season than probably any team over the last 30 years of me watching us play, except for maybe the Josh White team that beat the Big 12 team at the Pit.

I agree with Roosevelt as a sharp schooter. We need 3 shooters and Hamlet.

The all out differal to the star player usually interrupts the offense . Also , opponents are running 2 at Tylor at top of key late . A dribble driver to kick it out to Tylor would be nice . Kai and Rubin look unsure late due to that differal.
