"To me, you can never have too many quarterbacks. I know they’re all competing and you’re going to lose some. But I’m never going to turn down a great player, a great quarterback or a great walk-on."

  3. https://collegefootballnews.com/2019/05/cal-football-preview-prediction-players-2019 "When your second-easiest game is against a North Texas team that might win the Conference USA title, and your third-easiest game is either at Ole Miss, or at UCLA, there’s a problem."

Jalen Guyton lined up as the “X” receiver and executed a nice slant route as Phillip Nelson put the ball right on him in stride. It was those types of in-breaking routes by Guyton that allowed him to shine in college while at North Texas. Guyton is so natural receiving the ball on the move.

  8. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2834456-college-football-players-who-will-put-up-ridiculous-stats-in-2019#slide0 Only 10 quarterbacks put up at least 6,200 yards between the 2017 and 2018 campaigns, and Fine is the only one* who will still be playing college football in 2019.

  11. They said at the Collin County mixer tonight that CC will be 6/1 at Texas Live in Arlington. The Rangers play the Royals that afternoon so it should be a full day. Also, they announced Six Flags Day on 6/15.

  13. Best North Texas Offensive Player QB Mason Fine, Sr. The 5-11, 185-pound bomber has been one of the nation’s most productive quarterbacks over the last two seasons after coming on as a freshman with a nice year. He’s a decent runner when needed, but he’s been at his best when he’s bombing away down the field, throwing for over 9,400 career yards with 3,793 last season with 27 touchdowns. The two-time Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year has a good chance of finishing among the top 20 passing quarterbacks in college football history with another year of more than 3,500 yards.

Recently, an NFL scout came by to see him and take his measurements. “I can’t control my measurables,” Fine said. “All I can control is what I put on that tape. Some teams may look the other way. Some teams may look at the film. I hope they do.”

Fine is the starter, but after that, those snaps are up for grabs. Each quarterback brings a different style and experience, and all are motivated to make the most of these spring outings."
