You are thinking about the Baylor murder scandal. The discussion here is regarding the Baylor sexual assault scandal.
So many Baylor scandals to go around, who can keep up? 🙂

Pruitt and at least two other coaches fired for cause. Buyout voided.

This is by far the best one...but doesnt look like they are doing that this year...guess that makes since with little fans
There is still going to be a halftime show, though, and UNT has a major presence in it:
Members of the Green Brigade are joining other members from more than 200 collegiate marching ensembles to form a virtual Intercollegiate Marching Band. They’re doing an arrangement of Beyoncé’s “End of Time” that will be broadcast in the stadium for halftime Monday night as well as simulcast on one of the ESPN feeds and YouTube.
Extra UNT bonus: alum, Denton HS band director, and voice of the Green Brigade Jesse Woolery has contributed recordings as one of the announcers for the show.

Between Mendoza, DeLoach, Cosh, and Bowen, just really goes to show how good Skladany was.
We have had some absolute horrendous DC hires in the last 15 years

Im kinda fearful of hiring a guy like this as our DC. He has 23 years in coaching and the pinnacle is that he finally became the DC at Chattanooga? There usually is a reason why long time assistants are long time assistants. Maybe I just have Tony Benford syndrome but I’d prefer a young, hungry, aggressive play caller or someone that has lead a dominant def at a lower level. We need a Marcus Freeman type for this defensive rebuild.

Is Mainord already gone? What's with these receivers dropping things in stride?

What is PFF?
Pro Football Focus - an outside analytics firm comprised of coaches and reporters all across the U.S. and Canada. Their measures and reporting have begun to be incorporated into the storylines from the major sports newscasters as well. We've been a darling favorite of theirs for offensive stats the past few years.

Chico started quarterbacks based on some crazy test rather than ability. This is the man responsible for Josh Greer FFS. Hard pass.
Binders, man. Binders.

I don’t think Cal ever makes that trip (or intended to)
Funny thing when in Berkeley last year... a few of us are walking the Memorial Stadium promenade when a Cal megadonor thanks us for making the trip and whisks us onto the field with passes for pregame. Funny, gregarious dude, was generally wielding a lot of clout.
We mentioned at one point the return trip in 2023. He seemed surprised it was even a home-and-home, and laughed, “ha, no. I’m definitely buying that one out. Hahaha.”
🤷🏼♂️
At least we got this cool moment.

Coach Huggy sounding defeated.
Just now, Greendylan said:No kidding. I thought he was about to announce his retirement and just walk away.
Seriously. Then saw it was his 39th year as a head coach and all I could think was, "he sounds tirrrrrrrred."

Is Dimel one of the small pockets of society that thinks the entire COVID situation is a hoax, including the actual virus itself? Because it kinda seems that way.
From watching a bit of this source interview, it doesn't sound like he's a complete denier. It does however seem like he doesn't have the capacity for nuance and cascading decision making to understand the consequences of his planning, even when he knew about Rice's mandate for testing upon arrival months in advance.

But then also, yes. Dimel is not alone in his stupidity here.

I didn’t know YouTube TV had Stadium extra.
It's included with the regional FoxSports add-ons. It was just flatly included period up until a month or so ago when Sinclair pulled some BS.

Yes, I wear very green glasses ...... but how the hell can this guy get drafted and Mason could not even get a practice team job? I guess being over 6' is more important than actually being good.
They indicated there was family history or familiarity there between Dinucci and McCarthy, so you know – good ol' boy stuff.

Not Judy’s MO.
If Judy gets involved, the game will be rescheduled to Wednesday of Spring Break & be streamed on MySpace for a nominal fee.
Well that might be difficult when we don't have a Spring Break this year. https://www.unt.edu/catalogs/2020-21/calendar 🙂

I’m confused, are we still firing Littrell this week or not?
You jest, but I think the question is still relevant, and the whole situation can be reframed as such:
Our highest of highs feel amazing, but are predicated solely on Offensive success. Even then, the lack of Defensive production will always make these highs seem tenuous at best and we’re essentially still trapped in a violent roller coaster.
Seth knows offense through and through (3rd/4ths & short notwithstanding). That’s great. That’s rad. But it really feels like he doesn’t have a firm grasp yet on the other two phases of the game, and those he trusts to lead that which he does not know have had mixed results at best.
He needs to start exhibiting that he is the manager for the whole ball club and not just one aspect of it to make the $2M actually feel earned.

Ball State, I remember. I was all pumped for the season thinking we had turned a corner, then the following week we lost the most grueling double overtime monsoon of a game in my life and never got back on track. That loss took a toll both physically and mentally on many folks, including players, coaches, and fans alike.
That Ohio game was the height of misery in retrospect. It wasn't the first UNT game I had ever attended, but it was my first as a student.
