  1. Almost every school in the *New* C-USA has a baseball program except UTEP, Tulsa and North Texas. Schools with Baseball Programs. Rice UAB Southern Miss Tulane East Carolina Marshall Florida International Louisiana Tech Texas-San Antonio Charlotte Old Dominion Schools without Baseball Programs. North Texas UTEP Tulsa
  2. Hey maybe someone could raise a question at tomorrow's press conference. Are getting new helmets?
  3. Top UNT official: C-USA a great fit, what do you want to know? Jack Wall, the chairman of the UNT board of regents, called Conference USA a great fit for the school today. I called Wall a couple of days ago and got a call back today when he returned home. If there was any doubt about what UNT's plans are (and let's face it, there weren't) they are out the window now. Wall talked about what a great situation for UNT's fans and the fans at other C-USA schools to be within driving distance of their league rivals. I certainly won't miss some of those long trips, although the worst of them (Idaho and Utah State) were knocked off UNT's schedule a few years ago. It should be interesting to see what UNT officials have to say about the move to C-USA tomorrow. There are several questions that come to mind: -- Does the move to a new league move up the timeline for the addition of a baseball program? -- How much does UNT anticipate its conference revenue distribution will jump once it is in C-USA? -- Does UNT believe its programs will be ready to compete right away in C-USA in revenue sports (football, men's basketball)? http://meangreenblog...sa-a-great.html How when we will UNT have a baseball program?

  11. I wonder if the subject of baseball will be raised at tomorrow's press conference.
  12. UNT is exploring baseball. http://www.dentonrc.com/sports/colleges/north-texas-headlines/20120314-baseball-north-texas-exploring-addition-of-baseball-program.ece
  13. The Baseball complex is in the Master Plan. http://stadium.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=1810&ATCLID=205184438
  14. I like the Delaney plan. I would also add the provision that for a conference champion to qualify the conference must have no fewer than twelve teams and the conference champion must be determined by a championship game.
  15. The extension granted to Old Dominion is more of a formality than a major concern. MTSU is destined to remain in the Sun Belch Conference.
  16. Did you notice that UCLA has four letters...and TULSA has five...and NORTH TEXAS has 10. Maybe, it would be better if we used just three..UNT. I kind of like the SOW idea too.
  17. I think the Texas State Fans and AD are delusional. I think they'll be in for a big surprise when they join the Sun Belt.
