According to Rivals: We have 10 verbal commits. All are rated 2 star. Of the 10 that are committed, only 3 have offers from other schools (Nelson-1, Schilleci-1, Scott-1). All are from Texas except Berglund and he is considered a transfer. Houston (CUSA/Big East) has 7 commits from the state of TX, all 3 star. SMU (CUSA) has 14 commits from the state of TX with 6- 3 star, 5 - 2 star and 3 not rated. . If this is the best we can do in the state of TX, we need to branch out and recruit elsewhere and continue to use jucos. The HS class is weak.

That's the way its been all season. Stare down one receiver while there are others wide open. Powers should have had two TDs yesterday, if he had been thrown the ball. Pitiful QB play. But If you don't work hard in practice and in the off season, you won't play well in games unless you are a super talent and that's not the case with our QB.

DT has always had timing problems. The ball comes out too late and thats why our receivers get drilled after the catch. He does NOT go through progressions and telegraphs his throws therefore never seeing wide open receivers. Today, #1 was standing in the endzone wide open. DT is the largest problem on offense. The only way this team will win more than 5-6 games is with a good QB that makes plays.

Alabama has at least one Juco player that starts (Jesse Williams, #54) who will go in the first round in the NFL draft and there may be more as do other SEC schools. And yes, K-State does rely heavily on Juco players. It seems like our most talented players come from either Juco or transfer, not HS.

Juco players can be very valuable if recruited properly. There are many Juco players starting for SEC schools(Alabama and others) as well as many other very successful programs such as K-State, who has relied heavily on Juco players. I have not been impressed with the talent level of our recruits. Time will tell.

Andrew Power is 6'5" and is wide open on most of his routes as he was today. Sorry QB=Missed Opportunities I've been to every game this year, home and away and losses in this game and the Troy game are definitely on the coaches. Coach Mac took a time-out home with him today. He folded the tent. No Question.

I read the story and this type of thing happens much more than people know. I am glad to see the player stand his ground with Coach Kill. I wish the kid well and I hope Coach Kill is held accountable.

DT has a timing problem as to when to get the ball out. Thats why so many of his passes are behind the receivers. His biggest problem is his inability to go through a progression to find the open receiver. I know the TE is the third read on some routes, but #1 Power, has been wide open all year and DT never sees him. Power is 6'5" and is a mismatch for LBs and CBs. It seems like a QB would be looking for mismatches to make plays.

We will have to recruit better talent and instead of getting the leftovers from the state of Texas, we need to look to other areas. Mac needs to recruit jucos to fill immediate needs. BB will be a big improvement over DT. The main problem is the talent level (recruiting).

During the off season and preseason, all we heard from Mac was how much better DT was and how much he had improved from last year. We heard this over and over. Then the season starts. I believe that most coaches are very stubborn when it comes time to admit things didn't turn out like they thought they would. DT knows he can under perform and the job is still his. It makes me think that they would have to carry DT off the field on a stretcher before the other QBs will get a chance. How do you know how someone will perform in a game until you give them a chance? Its time to quit making excuses for DT. He is playing behind a very good OL. He has good receivers and good TEs. NO EXCUSES!

I think Mac has alot to do with the offense. We are running a Big 10 offense, Predictable and Bland.

Catch what? From who? The TEs are not getting an opportunity to catch passes. Power was the #1 rated TE in SC coming out of high school.

In order for Power to be more of a receiving threat, the ball needs to be thrown to him. Its on the play calling and DT. Power is open on most routes he runs, but DT doesn't see him especially if he is the 2nd or 3rd read.
