I am weirdly optimistic. Their D seems to get tired pretty badly, they got knocked around quite badly by our players and we get the ball to start the second... I feel a comeback coming

Really nothing beautiful about this schedule. It looks awful even by any already watered down standards. 20 wins is not likely (I don't see NT getting close to .500 in conference). But if he gets to 15 wins there just might be another year of this nightmare...arrrrgggg

The C-USA power ranking on SBnation: Always good informative read. The conference as a whole did so bad this week, that UNT did not loose any spots despite the loss at Ohio.

I also think it is a pretty good write up I think I will start reading it every week. There really are no good C-USA power rankings out there, so this kind of fills a void.

So the UTEP site on SB nation has a weekly C-USA power ranking. PreseasonUNT was 10th This week UNT is 5th So maybe nationally only very few people took notice of our win, but the people in Conference did.

3 and 0 would get us some votes I think, (some guy in Georgia or hyping us up before the game or something like that). Before that, please don't hold your breath, it would be unhealthy for such a long time.

So I expect you go with UTEP in this weeks pick em? I probably will too, but not feling comfortable about it. The new coaching staff and the news that have come out of camp at UTEP don't have me give them much credit either, aand at least UNM will not have first game jitters anymore. On the other hand loosing at home by 2 TDs to UTSA....
