  1. That would be great if it happens. As alway's, we need to continue to build the Belt.

After considering all the numbers that have shown up around the country for programs fans traveling to their bowl games I'm still proud that NT was able to take over 10,000 on a Tuesday night, over nine hours to drive in, four years in a row. It shows how much potential we truly have for the future.

With all due respect, Rick, I think you're a little light on the 10,000 number. I will say that I did not attend the NT vs So Miss game, but up to that point I'd say we brought 10,000-12,000 for Colorado State and 15,000 for both Cincy and Memphis. We had damn good attendance by NT fans at those games.

  2. I never understood why these players put on other team's decals on their helmets?? does anyone know?

It's a badge of honor, something that's being going on for many years. Construction workers do the same thing with their hard hats - switch company logo decals.

Didn't see many others with the North Texas plastered on other helmets. THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S TOO MANY CHARACTERS AND TAKES UP TOO MUCH FRIGGIN ROOM ON THE HELMET!

  3. A Houston station did pick up NT football games the past two seasons. In fact, I was able to listen to a game or two while driving around Beaumont with the wife. Reception wasn't the best, but you could follow the game. With Dodge being from the Beaumont/Port Arthur area and all of the press he's been receiving, it would be great to have a station down their pick up the games.

  4. I live two hours south of Lufkin so info on that area is pretty decent when it comes to football. There are several very high caliber 1A recruits that come out of Lufkin each year and North Texas needs to tap into that market. Another big recruiting area is Jaspar and Newton. It's good to see Dodge at least reaching into those areas.

  5. Anyone notice how rough and haggard our players look in the game day Program? I really hope that TD and staff will pay attention to this detail. I would like to see them in white shirts, ties and sport coat with hair combed (if longer)! It would also be great if a tie and sport coat could be the road game travel attire. I think its a sign of a "team" and shows respect (for themselves and opponent), discipline and business like focus. Anyone share these thoughts?

Oh, yes! I was in on the other thread with exactly the same wishes as you. At least have pictures in the program with the players wearing a sport coat and tie. A nice "son of worm" lapel pin would be a nice touch too. As for traveling, ideally I would like for each player to have a sport coat and tie on; all business.
