They play D1 teams to make themselves better. When you beat the crap out of there own year in and year out they dont gain anything. By playing someone better then them it in turn makes then a better program. Back to Back to Back titles says alot reguardless if it is DII or not. After the played us their second game they won 56 - 3 or something like. AND because of the upset to UM (this is coming from the fan base) no DI school wanted to play them and have what happened to UM happen to them. The fans eventhough they knew they would proably lose were GREATFUL for having the chance to play us. Dont believe all you gotta do is go to their team forum and read. There is nothing wrong with a lower class team wanting to better themselves by playing an upper level team. Unless of course they are just looking for the check!

And I know that the only measuring stick is the polls....no pun intended...but like I said take the worse SEC team Kentucky or Vandy usually. Whats the bottom dwellers of the Pac 10 and Big 10 Pac 10 usually Washington and Zona Big 10 Indiana and Northwestern The SEC would be heavily favored in those match ups!!!! I was in the swamp back in 02 when we beat y'all that was a GREAT TIME!!!!!!

The worse SEC team can beat the worse team from any of the other confrences! Thats what makes the SEC ahead of everyone else and such a tough confrence to play in. And all confrences should play a championship game plan and simple. How can you call yourself a champion of your confrence if the 2 best teams NEVER meet during the season.

First off if LSU played in the Pac 10 then it wouldnt have to scedule easy wins at the begining of the season because the confrence play would be ALL easy wins! Thats not so in the SEC were on any given Saturday a team can get upset because the playing field is equal! Second NO ONE Wanted to play Appy St from DI this year. Dont believe me go to their board and ask. Not to mention the fact that Appy State has won the title 3 years in a row and would proably give your football team a run for its money! In 03 Va Tech was suppose to come and play the first game of the year. THEY PUSSED OUT and we had no choice but to scedule anyone that could play us, NO ONE WANTED TO!!!!! So we had to play W. Ill. Are you from Texas of the west coast?

Williams from LSU fumbled the ball on the kickoff but recovered it himself. That was the only fumble for the game by either team.

Not just that but y'alls O-line keep your QB upright. LSU had No Sacks and very few hurry ups. That was an AWSOME JOB and something that y'all can hang your offense on. A decent qb can pick any secondary apart if the O line can keep the pressure off of him!!!! Good LUCK on the rest of y'alls season!!!!!! GEAUX MEAN GREEN

Nothing is going to happen! The reason classes were canceled TODAY is because today is when we are getting all the bad weather. Forecast for Tommorrow during the day is Gust of 30mph and 40% chance of storms. By the afternoon that is down to 20 mph gust and 15% chance of rain. Gametime it will be scattered showers with lite wind gust. And after 3 weeks of this BS there isnt ANYONE thats gonna be giving their tickets away, we all need a break and release from all this hurricane BS. Between this thread and the acuattly game thread I dont see how y'all dont have more people standing on ledges out there.

From what they are saying down here Ike will be somewhere in Arky by Sun at 1pm. So I guess those leaving early Sunday morning might run into some bad stuff.

The weather wont be a factor for the game. I live 30 miles east of Baton Rouge right off of I-12 and the weather is pretty much past us this morning. It is still windy but the sun is shining bright!!!!!

Y'all are making me depressed reading these post. Alot has happened in Louisiana these past few weeks and if this team commits the cardinal sin and overlooks y'all to the game with Auburn, it is with in the realm of possiblity for an upset to happen. Not very likely but hell anything can happen!

The thing with mud is it takes away the speed. Which for LSU is a HUGE weapon. After speed you have size and LSU has got some pretty HUGE off and def lineman. While I would love to see an OLD Fashion SEC win it in the trenches match up, the rain is really gonna screw up tailgating. Its gonna be a pain trying to walk around this soft wet ground with crutches!!!!

Not enough to have to cancel the game. The only way this game gets canceled now is if the storm stops moving and makes its turn to the north right now.

Feeder bands should not be a problem UNLESS the storm slows down. If it maintans its present speed or god willing speeds up, all BR will see is a few showers and 40mph Gust. If it slows down could be alittle worse but I do not see it being so bad that the game would need to be canceled.

We dont mind if you drink the kool aid at thats fine with us, we just for you to be able to discuss the team. To break down the offense and defense and your key position players and such. Kool Aid drinkers are fine with us, just dont want the guy that just stares into the mic when asked a question and just screams ONLY GO MEAN GREEN every time.

Sound like great choices are any of them going, cause we kind of need someone that is gonna be there. Kind of hard to do it over the phone the shows always sound like crap when we have to do them over the phone.

There is no national coverage for the game, the only way we can see it here (if your not in the stadium) is to shell out the money for Tigervision which is the WORSE creation on the planet.

I can say this about our coach there is no way he will run up the score, he never has and I would be damn surprised if he did.

This last Final Four was a FLUKE trust me! We werent always there have been some dark days in football and recently in baseball. Until Saban came it was dark with alittle llight every so often for us. And while we dominated baseball in the 90s after Skip retired from coaching the program went down hill quick!!!! It is only this past year that they are looking like the teams of old with a new coach!!!!

I can not speak for everyone that tailgates but we always treat visiting fans very well. AND have on occasion put our own fans in their place when we see a visiting fan being mistreated.
