  1. It couldn't happen to a greater person. He was one of my favorites. He, Isiaah, and Gio were the hardest working son of a gun's on the team during off-season and during the summer. His speed is a problem at that level though.
  2. Dodge is going to go down the drain with his son. He will not leave the college game without giving Todd Dodge, Jr. his chance of glory. Riley would have never started this season, the team knows that, Riley and Todd know that. So how many wins keeps Dodge around for his fourth season? Or is not wins but how much they improve? Improving will be easy, they have no where but up to go. Does the team believe in Todd? Do they believe in Family as he preaches? Or is Dodge all smoke and media savvy? You have to be in the lockeroom and on the field everyday to really know. These players play for themselves and have no bond for TD, and especially have no bond for the player Dodge calls his leader on offense. Slapping butts only goes so far. Dodge thinks so highly of his son that he has called him out as his leader (dodge loves dodge, they have a mutual love affair on the field and it sickens most of the team). I am out there to see it every day.
  3. Brett is the man. He calls it like he sees it and he tells it like a man that knows what is going on. We all drink the green stuff but Brett keeps it real.
  4. This quitter would start for us in a minute. I love how everyone throws out quitter. Its ridiculous and shows people arrogance and lack of factual information.
  5. Damn, I am sorry but this team miss him as as a player, leader and all around hardest working member on this team. I see it everyday. I hear it still everyday. This guy had such charisma in the lockeroom and especially in the weight room. He would challenge his DB's everyday to life and put out as hard as he could. He would get in their face during all one on one drills. He was a coaches dream player. Gio and Craig would battle everyday on anything. Gio was not a QB to these guys he was something more important than that. That is why Dodge was in a shock. Dodge got Gio to come to UNT over a slew of mid majors with twice the programs that we have so please don't tell me Dodge doesn't want Gio here anymore. The funny thing is you can already tell what is happening over here in the training room. The next time you loyal alumni see this kid, you will be amazed at the size of his head, the acne, and all the obvious of PRESSURE TO WIN NOW. There are a few players of interest whose head's look like Barry Bonds. In just a matter of months, everyone knows. UNBELIEVABLE what is happening in side the halls at Victory. Clean face kid has in head looking like a melon with bad acne. HMMM. Can you say pressure to win? We will win more games. We got some nice players now in the lockeroom that look like they can play. We will win 4 games but it won't be enough. RV is under the gun, he is not the jovial AD of past. I think DR. B has her hand on the pulse of this team now. Interesting rumor now has the entire coaching staff under the same random drug testing as the players which was generated by who? It has to be coming from the top of the top. WE WILL SOME GAMES, no doubt. A couple of these dudes can run routes and have more speed than we have ever had. Juice is the talk of the table now though. Juice is a sign of cheaters and those who can't do it through hard work.
  6. Dodge is doing anything and everything to please in order to keep his job safe. He didn't want anyone at his practices. Now its done. He didn't want TE's, now he is gonna use TE. The best move Dodge made was getting our new strength and conditioning coach. He is awesome to be around. Mark Barrow only did what TD told him to do.
  7. That puts into perspective the kind of talent UNT has had at WR the past two seasons. Fitz does not have NFL speed. BUT i do believe he is a sleeper. Work ethic is tremendous and great team player.
  8. This guy is the real deal. He is a real motivator.
  9. I'm too close to the program to identify myself to coach Dodge. But I have the one of the best student jobs with the program. I know what I know. I live it every day at Bonnie Brae.
  10. I think the Dallas Media can get the game on espn2. At least you would think.
  11. I'm in the class of '12 and Giovanni was one year older. I seriously doubt he gives a rats ass about this board bashing him.
  12. You got to love Lonnie. He calls it like he sees it. I don't always agree but at least he leaves his opinion out there for ones to critique instead of riding the bus.
  13. The offense had one WR weapon on the entire team last season. The incredible Casey Fitzgerald. Other than that, we had scrubs out there. TD recognized that and now went after some players. He did not do that for Gio but its amazing what he has done this off-season with his WR Juco prospect. This was a planned deal.
  14. The only member glad Giovanni is gone is Riley Dodge because he would have never seen the field as a QB for two more seasons. Ask any team member and they already miss him in the weight room and in lockeroom. Gio can kick Riley's ass and Riley knows. Your talking apples and oranges with who the team was behind and who Coach Ford was behind. Get a life. Hell one of our QB's made it public that he was not returning until he heard about Gio transferring.
  15. Dodge putting stipulations is ridiculous, it would be awesome for Gio to line up against the Mean Green in two seasons. That would be great for all concerned. Honestly, what a deal that would be. Why would dodge put any on him? what is the point? why hold back a young person?
  16. you can buy Riley's new jersey at Victoria Secret.
  17. He will get his shot. I think Nathan may now reconsider his decision to leave, naw, I doubt it. The way Dodge treated Nathan in the fall was borderline criminal and a huge Slap in his face. Nathan will never play and he knows it. Dodge showed it by giving his son most of the reps behind Gio in November when he was supposedly hurt. The team is not behind that kid.
  18. It will be an interesting spring to say the least. I can't wait to see the first spring practice first hand. It should be the biggest turnout in history. Me and my fraternity boys will be around the fence at Dickey practice fields with our #15 jersey on.
  19. Gio left with class, head high, and had the whole team behind him, that is enough said about who he was as a player and person.
  20. Ask anybody on the team. He was not one of the 15 that was sanctioned by the University. He was not on the list boys. ASK ANY PLAYER.
  21. giovanni, your a class act. thanks for what you did in your time here. you said the program was not what you expected and that shows your class instead of calling the program crap. I saw you against Todd Reesing in HS and you were the better QB then and now. best of luck.
