parking spaces within short distance of the new stadium wont be the trouble issue. trouble will be moving traffic into and out on a poor two lane bonnie brae and one lane 35e access road.

While reading over the article regarding Tate Forcier leaving Michigan, I thought what about UNT as an option? For heaven sakes, he is considering Montana which is a perennial 1-AA powerhouse, but Montana? I know it is just a pipe dream, but a QB with a 130 passer rating in a passing oriented offense with a solid running game could really catch some attention in one of the top five media markets in the US...
he would have to sit out a year if he transferred to unt or any fbs school. he can play this season at montana or any fcs school. like riley did. most don't have the patience to wait an extra year.

Going to most likely be USU and UTEP... USU has big money advertisers (MGM and Nike) willing to join the MWC sponsorship and UTEP for their location tied with Texas ties...
If UTEP declines no telling what happens. At that point UNT and NMSU among others are in play... Best news I heard is that LaTech is "screwed either way"...
If 2 of 3 of SMU/UH/Tulsa change their mind then all bets are off and the CUSA 2 go to the MWC and then UNT/LaTech are viable to CUSA.
Biggest fear is that if UCF goes to the Big East at the same time UTEP leaves and CUSA decides to push further into FL with FIU/FAU and shift the conference center because of pressure from the east coast members...
Lots and lots of rumors going on out there... Very few mention UNT except as a contingency outside of the normal chatter to CUSA
disagree about utep. they are not the texas connection thompson wants to replace tcu and dfw media market. houston would suffice and maybe smu but not utep.

The Mountain West knows that it won't be able to land Houston or SMU. That's why USU and UTEP are the top two targets. The fact that San Jose State is getting any mention has to do with UTEP not being fully committed to the move. The Mountain West is reviewing what school of who all is out there could bring the most to the conference and still allow it to achieve its goals. San Jose State's name is being mentioned as is North Texas'. However, the Mountain West has repeatedly expressed its desire to keep a positioning in the state of Texas after the loss of TCU. San Jose State won't be able to do that. The Bay Area is a very good market to sell, but it's not Texas. It really looks like the MWC 12th member will either be UTEP or North Texas.
utep has already been stabbed by this group once, they will not go back to that mess. plus el paso is not a large media market nor safe for opponent fans. north texas and rv should be making calls to get an interview with the mwc asap.

Todge represents the only time in school history we have wins against WKU. He never lost to them.
Until someone else comes in and wins,

If the rumors are true Spencer Leftwich will be headed to Pitt. Congratulations!!! The last time this happened at Tulsa Coach Leftwich didn't make the trip to Louisville. Mr. Leftwich was the only one on former staff to have Golden Parachute, and he played coaching merry go round to perfection.
Looks like Todd Dodge may have pulled the hat trick too. I'm not as concerned with Todd Dodge as I am other members of old FB coaching staff, but maybe QB coach is just what the Doctor ordered before trying to become a HC again. If Todd Dodge pulls off going to Pitt then maybe he gained some points with Coach Graham by allowing Coach Leftwich to interview at Tulsa and become their latest O line coach. It's not like coach Leftwich didn't have a history with Tulsa. I've always thought Coach Leftwich got more production out of the talent level he was able to recruit than many other O line coaches across the country.

Then maybe you should read the articles about UNT in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram and the Dallas Morning News or see all the great stuff Channel 4, 5, 8 & 11 have on the sports casts about UNT. I agree, that the Record-Chronicle seems to leave a bit to be desired at times, but it does the very best job of covering UNT and UNT sports of any of the Metroplex media outlets.
how about the unt sports info dept provide those media outlets with some video and notes to broadcast?
