MEAN GREEN FOOTBALL Head Coach Seth Littrell’s Statement Regarding Student-Athlete Turner Smiley DENTON – “We are aware of the situation regarding Turner Smiley from earlier this morning and are still in the process of collecting all the facts. Until I have an opportunity to talk with him I will refrain from further comment. We have high expectations for all of our student-athletes and we take situations like this very seriously. We will take an immediate and appropriate course of action after I speak with him.”

Louisiana DB Jermaine Antoine, maybe the best recruit on UNT’s board; Louisiana DE Claude George and South Garland DT Charles Walker joined UNT commits WR Turner Smiley and Keller OL Cody Nelson in UNT’s visit group. Walker is a new name at a position of need and is the closest of the three non-committed players to going with UNT. He is has good size at 6-4, 280, and also has an offer from Texas State. I am going to try to run him down tomorrow. Read more: http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2012/12/sunday-night-recruiting-roundup.html/
