I’ve been here all my life. I’ve never heard anything negative associated with Acme Brick. Great local employer and frequent source of Chamber of Commerce executives.
id be happy to play in Acme Brick Stadium but I wonder what brand of brick was used on the former Apigee Stadium ?

Well that’s a start.

It’s true. You make a good observation.
Argyle Eagles
Valley View Eagles
Southern Miss golden Eagles
Boston College golden Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles
But there is only one Mean Green !

If I’m not mistaken, the term Mean Green was used as a nickname for the defense. I recall an article in the DR-C describing how “mean” players on the defensive line were. Some were described as taking candy from children and others not liking kittens, etc.

One can style this any number of ways. But a commitment is just that. A commitment. Done. Over. No do-overs.
Here’s an example. I want either eggs or steak for breakfast.
What’s the difference you ask.
With eggs, the chicken is involved.
With steak, the cow is committed.
Do we want chickens or cows ?

Let’s all say it together.
Singing glory to the green
Singing glory to the white.
That’s all.

Please read my previous post.
Jared said 2,000 fans buying season tickets at the insanely low price of $25 per season ticket would mean we have 2,000 more donors and we’ve sold 2,000 more season tickets. Jared even asked fans THAT HAVE NO INTENTION OF GOING TO THE GAMES to help in this very easy and inexpensive way. It’s not about money. It’s about the number of donors and number of season tickets sold.
Does anyone have $25 they could spend on season tickets ??

No. He said 2,000 $25 season tickets. $25 for the entire season (6 games-same seat). 2,000 people paying $25 each.

We have lots of “conditional” givers.
I’ll donate when they fire the coach.
I’ll donate when they hire a coach.
I’ll buy season tickets when they expand the stadium
i’ll give when they add baseball
I’ll donate when somebody asks nicely
i’ll buy season tickets when the ticket office answers the phone faster
i’ll give if I get a good parking space
While we wait for all conditions to be met, we are the lowest number of donors in the AAC.

I’ll start.
A good crowd. There was light food and soft drinks. The bar may have been open. Jared spoke about a lot of things green but mostly about our move to the AAC. It will come as no surprise that we need more scholarship donors and season ticket purchasers. He said that if we could get 2,000 fans to purchase season tickets at $25 that our bottom line would improve as far as number of donors and number of season tickets sold. We are at the we bottom of number of donors in the AAC.
No baseball until the Athketuc center is enlarged. We don’t have room for the 75 total athletes (men and women) adding baseball would require.
He talked about parking problems and said too many fans were trying to arrive at the stadium 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
Jared would not say who the new stadium naming was but that everyone would like it. Announcement to be made in July.
It was a pleasant evening seeing green friends.
PS…The new AAC logos have been cut out and laid on the turf as well as a much improved Texas cutout on a darker green field with the diving eagle in the center. Looks great.
