    My requirements:

    1.  No names on shirts.  Don't really care who you are anymore.  Just win some games.

    2.  No choice of uniform.  We are green and white with black accents.  You are our employee.  The days of choosing all black, gray or anything else than a majority green and white are done.  The dog wags the tail, not vice versa.

    3.  No more senior day for some kid that spent a year here.  If you came here, spent three or more years and have earned your degree, then go right ahead.

    4.  Not purchasing any sweatshirt/t-shirt with your name and number so you can cash in.  The days of buying and then looking up to see you playing elsewhere are over.

    5.  Done with season tickets.  I will now pick one game a year to make the trip for.  Outside of that, I will watch on television or my computer.

    6.  This is now a business agreement between you and me.  You perform as expected and you will get cheered for.  You suck and you will hear it from me.  Represent my university well in all interactions, perform to the best of your abilities on game day, stay out of trouble and be an embarrassment.  You fail on any of these and you get kicked to the curb.

    7.  I like Coach Morris and wish him well.

    8.  Time for Coach O to earn his keep.  Funny videos on Twitter don't cut it any more.  Do your job, and do it well.  Time to deliver.

It's very sad that it has come to this. It's hard to disagree with.

The only way the NCAA saves FBS football is by splitting all TV money equally amongst all FBS football programs and instilling a salary cap. Otherwise, the sport will die and thousands of kids will lose their opportunity to earn a college scholarship amongst which hundreds will never even get the chance to make it to the NFL. Paying players isn't the problem, it's the greed amongst the top 10-20 programs that is doing this. The original issue is players wanted a piece of the pie. Fast-forward several years and the players still aren't getting a piece of the pie. Instead, wealthy fanbases have baked their own pies to distribute to their players. It's worst than what it should have been. Not impossible to go back and correct mistakes but this certainly feels like the point of no return if these new rules pass.

I see a massive lawsuit coming.

  3. I realize philosophies change over the years on both sides of the ball. It's the nature of football. I have noticed a trend at both the college and pro level where a defensive back, when in tight coverage, does not seem to locate and make a play on the ball. When I played, way back in the day, our coaches taught us to run with the receiver and  when he turned back to look for the football, the defender should turn as well in order to pick or break up the pass. I almost never see this done very much. Do they not teach this technique? Seems they mainly face guard or just watch and let the receiver catch it. Am I wrong on this?

We should at least strive for both every season; a great team that does an excellent job of representing the university.

I can't see why anybody would want to settle for less.

I'd like to see us standardize our look if no other reason to be recognizable to the casual fan. When someone sees UT or OU or Auburn, there is no question who their seeing. Now that we'll be seen more often on TV, it'd be nice for the casual fan to look and say, "oh, that's UNT!"

Why in God's name would Chandler Rogers even think about moving on.....yet again? He is running an offense that made North Texas history. He is playing at a school that is in one of the largest media markets in the nation.  Moving to another school and learning a new system would mean he would have to work twice as hard.....with no guarantees.

You'd have to be brain damaged or have a HUGE ego to make that kind of move.

Or be offered the big bucks.
