  1. Not sure if anyone caught it but the announcers at Half-time while chatting with RV gave good props to Sturns.
  2. Kevin Moore has done squat in his plenty of opportunities. He did nothing against Texas, FAU, and Baylor. Then in limited carries he did nothing against MTSU and USU. Jamario is the man and lets pray we do not have to use Moore extensively the rest of the season.
  3. I am hosting the 2nd North Texas Shootout at Varsity Lanes starting at Noon on October 16th and 9 A.M. October 17th. UNT will be well represented and teams from TX-St, TAMU, WT, UN-Omaha, Emporia St., OU, UH, and a host of other will be there. Thanks Gang
  4. Only College Teams. If your interested and got to UNT we would love to have you out.
  5. Just got back from Austin aftre running the SWIBC Fall Classic: Need to give a big hand to Freshman John Young on winning the tournament beating a potential future UNT Bowler Geoff Martin in the Finals. John Qualified 11th in the field of 43 and swept 5 straight opponents from UNT, UH, CCCC, SFA, and CCCC again to win the Double Elimination Bracket. Also congrats to Jr. Patrick McCordic who placed 5th and Jr Matt Hoyt for a strong 6th place finish. Finally Freshman Colby White qualified 8th, lost first match to Matt Hoyt then lost a narn burned to Jeff Campbell of WTAMU, 269-245, Campbell is the reigning National College Bowler of the Year. All total We had 7 guys finish in the Top 20. There next tournament will be Amarillo October 9th and then in Denton October 16-17th.
  6. You know what shaft if the school does not force the students to get new ID's much less tell them that they are changing ID's every year, then how do they know to get a new ID. Quit the fan bashing!!
  7. It is a subdivision right off of FM 407 between Argyle, Bartonville, and Copper Canyon
  8. Just a quick scan in the DMN Sports section shows UNT leading Mean Green Classic down at Lantana GC. Tons of Sun Belt and Southland Conference Teams. Up by 5 strokes over SFA and 7 up on UH
  9. Shaft why don't you keep your smart-ass comments to yourself. You talk about everyone else's negativity but there you are tearing everyone down as if your the King Mean Green. You sat in the student side, these fans were on the alumni side, obviously buying ticket packages and they should be treated with some respect by the Athletics department and obviously they weren't. So where is your complaint?
  10. Yeah that makes perfect sense so the alumni can look at rows and rows od empty steel rows. That is the brightest idea yet. Give the students some recognition for actually showing up rather than burning bridges like many are doing.
  11. Uhh it only took us maybe 5 minutes to get in 15 minutes before kick-off maybe people should start getting in earlier but there was no scanning of ID's
  12. GEEZ!!!!! where is this attitude at one of the largest universities in TEXAS!!!!
  13. Fresno up 45-14 with 2 minutes left. Guess the WKU game was not a fluke. Sproles is a great RB on a piss poor team.
  14. Wow we have had Memphis beat Ole Miss, Troy beat Mizzou, Utah killed A&M. Boise spanked Oregon St, and now Fresno is up 24-14 in 2nd Q against K St.
  15. Many probably saw on the news about the crossover accident on George Bush, but the young lady was a UNT Freshman and unfortunately was living Clark Hall, who have had a rough go since December.
  16. I just started 2009, and in in 2007 and 2008 I was undefeated and #2 or #1 in the Polls and both times in the last week a BCS school jumped over me even though they had a loss. But I got to play in the Rose Bowl both times at least. I now have 4 Top 10 schools scheduled this season and just beat #6 Cal, so we shall see.
  17. I like how Arkansas State is handling their new program, they hired a knowledgable coach and look at winning now with some of their recruits. On the other hand La. Tech is joke, they only added the program for Title IX circumstances and they have a Track Coach running the team and as of Mid-July they had no scholarship bowlers. A JOKE!!! I would rather a school not even offer the program unless they are going to be taking it seriously.
  18. We have a club team. We compete in around 10 tourneys a year + sectionals. Typical schools, TX A&M, WT, UH, TX St. OU, UNM, NMSU, ULL, LSU, Sam Houston.
  19. Ahh seeing you have been borrowing from ole Ricky, being delusional and all.
  20. 290 in Tournament and 279 in League, 737 for 3 Game series.
  21. Sorry need to prop my boys and ladies up. Also if any of you guys go to the Bowling Alleys, they have a Bowling Newspaper that goes out weekly to the Centers in the SW and we have a front page article. http://www.ntdaily.com/vnews/display.v/ART...5/4111cd2c8c122 NT bowling club prepares for fall events Ashley Weaver Daily Reporter August 05, 2004 The Mean Green Bowling Eagles are rolling into the fall semester by hosting an Open Bowling Event at Varsity Bowl in Denton Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. "This event is open to all prospective NT students looking to bowl," said Jason Lyon, assistant volunteer Coach and former NT Bowling Club president. Lyon said this is not the official tryout, just a way for students interested in bowling to meet club members and coaches. He said the tryouts will probably be held in mid-September. "I enjoy bowling and appreciate that UNT has a bowling club open to all students," Leonard Sydnor, NT Art Junior, said. "I find bowling fun and a great stress reliever," Sydnor said. Sydnor works at Brunswick Bowling Alley in Denton and is interested in joining the club in the fall. "The requirement for being a member of the club is being a student at NT," Lyon said. "For the travel [competitive club] team, we follow eligibility requirements set forth by College Bowling USA. Travel team members must maintain a 2.0 GPA and attend classes full-time." The travel team competes in many tournaments during the year, which costs $200 to $250 per team, Lyon said. The cost is usually covered bowlers, support from Rec Sports and parent donations. "We welcome any and all support from the NT community," Lyon said. "The North Texas Shootout will be run in Denton on October 16-17 at Varsity Bowl in Denton. We expect to have teams from Texas Colleges and possibly as far away as Omaha, Nebraska." The club has grown since its beginning in 2001, Lyon said. The team had 20 members at the end of the spring semester and anticipates 30+ members for the fall. "The travel team portion now has their sites set on national tournament bid, meaning finish Top 16 in the nation," Lyon said. More information on the NT Bowling Club and current schedule of events for fall can be found on their website at http://orgs.unt.edu/unt_bowling.
  22. Positive test for illegal substance in a team administered drug test. From Chris Mortenson on ESPN Radio.
  23. heard it while listening to ESPN Radio. The substance abuse was only a rumor, but you never know anymore
  24. very interesting, although they are mentioning substance abuse as a cause for his release. Will be a curious year in Cowboy year. <_
