    Coach Morris was last a HC at UIW in 2021.  Below is an example of his team and offense vs SFA in the 2021 FCS playoffs.  This was his 4th year there, after getting his players to fit his playbook.  Cameron Ward was his QB, a duel-threat QB and elite passer.   UIW was 4th in the Nation in FCS scoring offense at 40 points per game and 5th in yards passing at 352/yds per game.  SFA was a Top 20 defense in this game.  UIW won 35-28 in OT.

    In this game Ward was 39/54 for 328 yds, 4tds, 0 ints.

    But you have to tailor your initial playbook to your inherited roster of players and their talents too.  I recall Jerry Moore (a Nebraska asst) replacing Hayden Fry as HC.  He attempted to instantly make us a running Nebraska offense with Fry's team.  It mostly failed.  

     

    Also, here is UIW's next game in the 2021 playoffs, at defending National FCS Champ Sam Houston.   Close game the whole way, high scoring...

    Lmao, and he started Aune over all of them. That negates everything you just mentioned. If he never played a down here, I wouldn’t give a shit who he was 🤣. I will never forgive him for subjecting me to multiple years of Austin Aune as our QB

    Yeah, keep Littrell as far from this program as possible. Unbelievable that we were subjected to that for years. If I was a QB in this room, I would be beyond excited. The QBs Morris has on his resume speak for themselves.

    ETA: The Mean Green Faithful go after him pretty hard on Twitter. He’s not shy about clapping back, either. 

    The way he tries to justify his BS is comical. He might as well just say he doesn't like NT to save us all time.

    Craven is unreadable and I find myself arguing with him a lot in comments of his pieces. He’s an absolute UTSA homer that never gives us credit on anything. I’ve already mentioned in other threads the things he writes to put us in a bad light. The only good thing he’s ever written is a nice piece on our new coaches and their vision for the future here. Otherwise, he uses BS statistics and a UTSA skewed view to constantly put us down. It is nice to see an NT Twitter army constantly obliterate him in the comments of his articles though

    It's Mike Craven. Dude is a clown and a UTSA grad. More often than not, he will find some way to write an article bashing us. First, we were wrong to fire Littrell. Then we were screwed in the aftermath of the Littrell stuff. Now, we get a C in recruiting without even looking at the entire context of the situation and lack of ratings for some of our players. Don't bother with that guy. You'll usually find some NT grad fighting with him in the comments because he does it to us consistently.

    You're 23-5 over the past 2 years and have been recruiting this class for a year vs a staff taking over an underachieving team with a 8 week old staff. You should be crushing UNT, not losing recruiting battles to us. UTSA has hit their ceiling and their fans are starting to realize it. You're darn right they're worried....

    All that and they still have never had a Jeff Traylor recruited QB lead their team. 

    There's only so much junior colleges can do. We know we are superior to them in virtually everyway. We just needed to find a staff that could supplement this which we appear to have. Traylor is already crying about not having enough money to pay his staff. No doubt some P5 will come knocking on his door soon and he'll be flying out the door when he realizes they have reached the limits of their potential. You know I'll be dancing on their grave the day that happens
