Ok, a little sad as well it looks like the Big Scrappy is gone... Ill eat an extra Rudy's chop sammie in its memory.
Wit the age of our kiddos, we haven't been able to pull the trigger on tailgaiting again. So, Apogee concessions are important to us.
For me I am most excited about Fletchers. Kids love the Scrappy sundae from Beth Marie's...
What is your fave at Apogee? I need recommendations!

Play the P5 game against slow B1G Ten teams or finesse Pac-12 teams, preferably in a home-and-home, but if not, those teams give you a chance to actually survive and/or beat. TCU proved that back in the day in the MWC.
Sounds a little familiar...

Yeah, if Wren plays his cards right and builds us up to a monster program... he can write his own ticket

Love to see all the great things being added to campus! It doesnt feel like its been that long since I was a student there, but the campus looks WAY different now... we are not a commuter school anymore!

But you can cancel anytime is the beauty of it. I get what you’re saying but I haven’t paid for Netflix, Hulu and Prime in years.
Bc you are using someone elses account?

I appreciated that it was more kid friendly this year too. My little ones had a blast!

As much as I wanted this to be ready for the start of fall practice... I am glad that this current team will get to use this facility at least some this season.
They will really get to see what their hard work has produced

Supposedly we were able to get in an hour before the normal opening time of the cancelled event a few months ago. I arrived late last year, maybe 10:30a, and it was getting pretty picked over, only found one polo shirt and normal athletic fabric shirt that was L/XL. If you're XXL or greater, there seemed to be lots of options. Feel like it may be really busy this time since its combined with ticket pickup.
They took card previously.
Well... I will be in the right place. I am very XXL or greater!

What's the last thing you remember about North Texas?
Both teams are significantly better than their Bowl games would indicate.
The good thing about Houston is they're breaking in a new HC, and that offense is going to look much different without Briles

Just like when we play SMU, there were a bunch of them over on the Alumni side during that game. We weren’t very good that year. It’s a different ballgame now, as BOTH teams are good, not just Houston. So hopefully more Alumni show up & buy the home side seats so the Houston fans are forced to sit in their sections or GA.
How good is Houston though? No sarcasm here... the last thing I remember is them getting destroyed by Army.

I wonder if season ticket holders and MGSF donors get first access to the garage sale like has been done in the past.
Yeah, I wish there were announcements regarding this and what prices may be...
Do they accept cards or is cash only? Things like that.... the more info you put out, the more likely you will get people to attend

Last year I went to the Houston v SMU game. It was UNT's bye week and I figured I would catch a game for my football fix since they were playing in Dallas. Anyways.. Their band took over at SMU's house, pretty Embarrassing for SMUt.. You would have thought it was being played in Houston the way the Houston band took over. UNT won't have this issue, but there is going to be a battle on the field as well as the stands that day. I CANNOT wait for this game day atmosphere.
Much like the La Tech game last year... This game will have much hype. This is how every game should feel at Apogee. I am glad we are getting a taste of what it could be like. Need that dub

Makes me want to win even more... there will be so much hype for this.
Also, makes it a tougher ticket too... since their band will be taking up some seats

I remember the huge Mean Green Eagle on Fouts that faced I-35 for decades.
I also remember how sad it was when I saw the dismantled eagle components sticking out of the construction dumpster during renovation.
I wish I had at least kept the head for prosperity's sake. Oh wait, I did.
Prooooove it

Vito is an idiot.
This entire quote is wrong. First, UTSA isn't a rival. UTSA doesn't get the fans riled up. The UTSA game isn't circled on the calendar when the schedule comes out. Many, including Vito, have tried to verbally strong arm the rest of us into calling it a rivalry when most fans just do not care. Rivalries are created over time which our history with UTSA doesn't have.
Let me repeat ... UTSA IS NOT A RIVAL. It could develop into one but it isn't at this time. If you believe UTSA is our rival then understand that you are significantly in the minority.
Sounds like UTSA is getting you riled up right now...

Completely agree. If people think we are on an up-and-up right now (not even 5 years in), just imagine what things could be like after 10. That’s 2 generations of 4-year students watching 7-10 win teams. Year in year out.
If we can keep Wren for 10 yrs... we will have a solid program that has a strong donor base, a winning culture, and a spot on the college athletics map.

Is the Alumni Pavilion BYOB?

I love the idea of the Alumni Pavilion, however... it is always jam packed. I know it is a reflection on our alumni as the size of the facility... but i usually skip it bc it doesnt seem worth attending....
Has that changed?
