    UTSA will keep going back as long as Bevo leaves the money on the nightstand.

    What a horrible way to build a program.

    We werent there too long ago... taking body bag games to get $$$.

    I think UTSA had put the cart before the horse building this program.  Now they are having to take their lumps and call it a "rivalry"

    Doesn't matter how you polish it... its still a turd

    I believe they said October-November window recently.

    Thats a bummer... I know its hard to stick to time tables, but was really hoping itd be done for the guys to use most of the season.

    What better way too get the AAC's attention, then to bet SMU and UH this season!

    This would be a nice statement for sure... Show that we can hang.  UH will be the biggest non conference game for Seth and co for sure. That will be a statement win for the program to win that one at home.

    So, The Texas Sports Hall of Fame, in Waco, is the first to receive the New Dave Campbell Texas Football. Now granted that we are non to happy of UT's Sam Ehlinger on the cover and not Our Mason Fine They do have us going 9-3 overall (7-1 conference) in the 2019 Season. In fact, Greg Tepper of Texasfootball.com ask "Can a Texas team finally break Through in Wide-open C-USA?" He goes on to say that "The Lone Star State's best hope appears to be North Texas."

    Small Breakdown:

    Mean Green Offense :

    QB's = A+

    RB's = A

    OLine = B-

    Receivers = A

    Defense:

    D-line = C

    LB's = D+

    D-backs = B

    Special Teams = C

    Game of the Year: Mean Green at Southern Miss Oct 12. that being the conference loss.

    Let the debating continue....

    I have last years sitting on my desk still... heres what we scored last year:

    QB - A

    RBs -B+

    OL - A-

    Rec - A+

    DL - C+

    LB -B-

    DB - B-

    ST - B

    Just to give some perspective...

    Wrong.   He could leave a legacy here or he could leave a legacy at a P5 somewhere.

    Please, please, pretty please folks, we'll never get players worth anything here if this is the mindset you want them coming in with:  "Eh, I'm not good enough to start at Ohio State or Florida State.  I'll just go to UNT instead so I can play."   That's how you get to 1-11.

    Sorry man... Yes, i want that same kind of mindset too.  The reality is though... we are not Ohio State or Florida State.

    In a world where a QB transfers from Alabama to Oklahoma bc hes not gonna get PT.  Thats the way it is... We should be glad a QB that is getting looks is wanting to come here and be a star.  Theres nothing wrong with thinking that

    You would hope he understands that since he keeps re-tweeting about "leaving a legacy at UNT." Hard to do that at an already established P5 school. We'll see

    He could leave a legacy here if hes the real deal... or could be "depth" at a P5 school....

    If I am a star QB in HS, i want reps... I want to be the big man on campus... we could offer that.

  7. For me its AAC or CUSA.

    While at times the MWC sounds enticing... I am not sure I want to trade a "better" conference for games that would be tough to attend/watch.

    Yes, we are getting bent over as far as missing out on some revenue streams, but I like that we have a few teams within a half days drive to see away games.

    If I thought the MWC would be a temporary thing... maybe.

    But the AAC is the goal for sure

    This is the issue I have with buying jerseys.  Not even taking into account what we might have in 2020, what will we be wearing in 2019?  We may not wear this particular green jersey but a couple of times this season.

    That being said, this is no doubt a major upgrade from anything I've seen in years...maybe ever.

    Im ok with it bc we will be wearing some form of this jersey... may be a different color (white, black, grey)... I am just hoping we dont go through a whole redesign

    Doubtful. There isn’t a varsity D1 women’s lacrosse team within 700 miles of Denton (Vanderbilt). Men’s lacrosse has blown up in DFW, but it hasn’t caught on with the ladies. You’d also be starting 100 percent from scratch since the club team we have is extremely rough

    Agreed.  I would imagine womens sand volleyball would be viable.  That has been popping up in the south more.  TCU has a team

    OK, great. Wasn't my point. My point was that SMU carries 0 weight in deciding who takes that AAC spot.

    Also, Army would not be a huge win for the AAC. They currently litter their schedule with most the sisters of the poor so they can have a bloated end of season W/L record. Army would not maintain their competitive perception in any conference. They wouldn't be able to have their typical UMASS, Rhode Island, and Lehigh schedule. As for having one sport only schools in your conference, that's small time. They sort of conceded to that already with Wichita. But it's just a small time move to have your conference with 1-sport affiliations.

    As for NIU and MUTS, not happening.

    Are you some sort of closet anti-UNT fan or something? Everything you say in some way or another seems like an attempt to debunk the validity of the university and its sports programs.

  11. I had to read that one sentence like 5 times to understand what he meant...

    Seems like we beat Ark and Charlotte, played tough against Tennessee and UAB, THEN we won the CUSA title...

    Other than that, it was a fairly nice write up.  Ill take the pub!
