Visiting College Station this weekend for my son’s lacrosse tournament - he plays for Grapevine High School.  We’re staying at the new Texas A&M Hotel, right across from Kyle Field.  Have to say, it’s impressive.  Looking forward to 2020 when our Mean Green visit Kyle Field.  I’m sure it will be a great atmosphere, everyone here is very polite and Texas proud.

Was going to referee down there this weekend, but got sick. Hope the teams are doing well.

You might start looking then....it appears this is a done deal.  Sorry to see the Sub Hub go, but if we are honest...it isn't now what it once was. With the cash the owners will be getting, if they wish, they can certainly reopen elsewhere.  I hope they do, but in all honesty...since the subs are not what they once were, I go only about once a quarter now and only when I am on that side of town anyway.  No special trips just for the Sub Hub for this guy any longer.  Don't want to "spoil" the wonderful memories I have of "back in the day" when it was the pure example of awesomeness.

I don't understand all the love for NYSH but maybe that's just me. I went there a few times '14-'16 and never thought it was any better than [insert a name here] sandwich shop. Slow and overpriced, but thats just me. They also have NYY stuff on the walls. Go O's 😂

The unraveling at Baylor culminated in the firing of beloved head football coach Art Briles, the resignation of athletics director Ian McCaw, and the demotion and eventual resignation of university president Ken Starr in mid-2016.

There's something so rich about Ken Starr having to step down because of allegations of this nature. The universe works in mysterious ways.

Smart is shooting the 3 ball 29% on the year. His green light needs to be turned red. Grant has to force him to put the ball down.

No matter how much Grant yells in his face, he still takes dumb shots. I don't understand what is going on. We need Duffy back yesterday.

Pry him away from Wazzu and not only does Littrell burn his bridge with Leach permanently, but probably also puts Leach on the market.  If his Athletic Department cannot outbid "little 'ol North Texas", he's outta there ASAP.

You'd have to think that Mike Leach, a professional who has been in the college football game a long time, would understand. This is just how things go.

If this guy wants to move up in the world, he's going to do more than be Wazzu's WR coach.

Yeah I agree with that, but if we could schedule some area opponents that would be great. Idk if Wren has tried to schedule TCU or SMU, but that would be amazing if we could land some series like that in the future.

It would be really cool if we could get some kind of local DFW tournament with us, TCU, SMU and maybe even UTA and rotate who hosts it each year. What do you guys think?

The new Dickies Arena in FW would be a great venue for a DFW tournament.

  7. They renovated less than 5 years ago. So it's probably just that. I'd settle for a set of new lights, and new court side advertisements in the Pit, and taking those ugly ass Wells Fargo logos off the court. But it seems like we're intent on getting a new facility in 10+ years over any incremental improvements.
