Yes.. as much as people hate UTSA we have to pull for them..
1- More exposure for CUSA, and UTSA.
2- ideally a slightly larger payout from the tournament or just hosting games.
3- Would be great exposure next year to have a conference with 3 championships or runner ups. It will help the entire conference down the line.

That’s the plan, someone had posted the master plan and the 1st phase was things like the IPF, Soccer/Track, and AD office improvements.
Phases 2 had a baseball stadium (on the south side of the Dorm, and northeast of the tennis complex), and I believe expanded parking in the grass field across from Apogee.
Phase 3 has the new Superpit that also would be home to the summer/dive teams instead of the Rec center and PEB.

All those things are in works, I’ll look for the link to the master plan (I believe it was posted by Harry or another mod) but the a new SuperPit is way down the line with some/most of these being addressed

The issue isn’t that Superpit is breaking down.. it’s needs a lot of updates and that is costly. Improving the ADA standards is the biggest issue.. the Superpit is grandfathered in, but as things keep updating, the requirements for those grandfathered items are changing.
They also want to put in luxury boxes I believe has been brought up in the past by someone. Also, if they were to do a new Superpit, they could attract multiple other shows events. Currently they are doing dance and cheer. But again I believe on the master plan, the New Superpit I’m in phase 3, behind baseball (in phase2)

Email them telling them to do another Greek night! They did one during the season and it had a pretty solid turn out for a double header!

No idea how someone like USF draws, but if we get a solid crowd on Wednesday, I would think they favor UNT with the 2 games. Solid crowd last night compared to what was in UNTs first game

Not a terrible waste at all since there are still plenty of open sits on the sides, behind and across the court. I also see those seats filled far more than other sections.

Would really like to see the assistant budgets grow. I get paying the likes of SL, WB because they find these people but we need to be having people potentially stick and not be using UNT as a resume booster.
I would love to see the salaries somewhat compare with someone like Tech that it’s not people leaving for money and then a better conference but they are leaving because it’s a better conference and the pay is equal or near equal.

I believe this is one of th reasons for the flag being left up.. that and with the UNT sports season slowing down, it one of those see how long they can make due till it’s becomes a major deal then do something about.. if it were football season I’m sure it would be switched out.
Also, with the recently flood of activities happening it has likely been low on the list. UNT basically hosted/did most if not all of the CUSA Tournament at the Star, with Softball/Tennis starting back up, getting ready for spring football and the soccer practices, ontop of now planning the CBI games..

They are doing something like a 5K before the game. Along with a garage sale having a lot of items that fans are sure to want. Come early because it’s not going to be a typical game, and I believe it should only be about 2 hours long. Hope some people make it over to soccers game vs Baylor or the softball games!
