I would sever my financial ties to the athletic department if they hired Briles. Period.

If Seth goes to a place like Kansas State for instance Snyder will prolly have a say about some of the staff saying.
No coach worth anything would let that happen. They would be setting the next guy up for failure.

Do you actually watch them play or just wild ass guess based on name recognition?
Yes, I have watched them play several times this year. I apologize for exaggerating, but they are Number 9 in the country at 500 ypg and 13 at 38 ppg against better competition.

Tech would average like 1000 yards offense per game and 70 points per game against our schedule.

Record comparisons are worthless when the caliber of schedules don’t match up. Can’t imagine there’s a team ahead of UNT on that list that wouldn’t be undefeated against our schedule.

These threads about who is the better fan are *yawn*

Looks like their other clients are Georgia State, Kent State, Troy, and Winthrop.
I think the old company was CLC. They have most of the big boys. I’d love to see what the benefits of the move are.

They are 7-1 and beat a team that was ranked in the top 25...25th, but still in the top 25. Do that and you deserve to get votes.
This. When you look at the body of work, it makes sense. Plus, their loss is Week 1 to No. 2 Clemson.

Agreed. CUSA goes deeper than the Belt. The Belt is top heavy.

OC fired after 5-1, and the season before that winning the conference championship.
They fired the DC, not the OC. Pretty sure Lincoln Riley is the play-caller.

I don't get the logic... App State/GSU being ranked/receiving votes = C-USA is having a down year?

If I was a young up and comer, there’s a zero chance I’d hitch my wagon to the Browns job.

Try playing the offensive line, one of the most un appreciated positions to play in football. But it’s a little much for people to already have the O line coach fired at a 7-2 record.
Don't forget the top offense in CUSA. Guess they pull that off despite the o-line and their coach...
-
As fans, you have no idea what pesky injuries these o-linemen are going through, personal stuff they’re working through, etc. that may be effecting performance on the field. It may very well be time to look for a new coach, but without further info, how can so many of you be convinced it’s time to fire this man?

in my opinion with my zero total years experience playing, coaching or administrating college football.
If you're required to check these boxes, shouldn't this board just cease operations? There would be a pretty short list of people left if you need to fall into one of theses categories to speak about and have an opinion about sports. It's just sports, not rocket science or curing cancer.

At UNT - 26,392 - 86% capacity and top 5 attendance in the history of Apogee.
And UNT was riding a lot of momentum for their final home game towards a potential conference championship/bowl run? That attendance had more to do with UNT's season performance than playing against Army.

Army Road Attendance Stats 2018
at Duke 26,017- 65% of capacity
at OU 87,117- 101% of capacity- Oklahoma shows attendance over capacity for all home games
at Buffalo 23,671- 95% of capacity- Buffalo was undefeated and in the middle of a huge year for them
at San Jose State 15,627- 51% of capacity

It's a marquee game for fans that as proven gets excitement up and butts in seats.
People say this all the time about Army, but it's just not true.

So does this mean that season parking passes to the blue lot don't guarantee a parking spot due to the allowance of game-day purchases of parking passes potentially filling all the slots?
If you have a blue lot pass, you’re guaranteed a spot. They don’t oversell the lot.

My plan was to bring some friends in from Houston for the game. But one is disabled and cannot walk too far. Since we will not risk buying a blue parking pass, that puts me in the ada lot. Guessing that let’s me out on alumni side. Anybody experienced this lot yet.
This should have everything you need to know.

I guarantee you that winning conference championships is important to the coaches/players. It helps build up your program and coaching reputation, and that helps in recruiting/national regard.
I also agree that it doesn't effect the bowl situation very much.

Because he is a good coach and is about to take a North Texas program... North Texas... that was 1-11 before he got here to its third straight bowl game. Oh, and he is doing all of that without having a full team of guys he recruited. Oh, and he has the number 1 recruiting class in the conference coming in. We haven’t even scratched the surface of what Seth is building here, but okay. Let’s just get rid of him.
