There is something special going on with UNT FOOTBALL and I hope everyone is paying attention as we have been waiting for years to have all the pieces move in the same direction.  The Mean Green  have not only beaten, but trounced SMU and SEC's Arkansas so far in this young undefeated season. The media and generous donars are showing up and I think I hear that "Sleeping Giant's fan base waking . Kudos Mr. Baker, Mr. Prez., Board and Coach Littrell.  I'm having fun.

UNT's  SGA  Voting and Complaint process is obviously a flawed, broken system in need of repair.   And the fact that UNT has by comparison underfunded athletic programs is the result of decades  of weak leadership. The right leadership appears to be in place now,  soooo, fix the system !

Dear gawd Cooly, North Texas dropped down several years ago and it was athletic program SUICIDE. Take a look back, it was a death sentence as bad as SMU's actual ncaa Death Sentence. Don't drink that cool-aid !

This is an AWFUL idea .  G5s will just become rotating farm clubs for P5s. Complete loss of program stability, another destructive change to college athletics.

Zach is a UNT hero and proven NFL player, would love to see him play for Dallas. How much injury risk will a NFL team take on?  Could they work that out in a free agent contract ? I.e. Low risk / high reward contract deal ?

The P5's will poach the UNT coaches in football and basketball since it appears finally that UNT is investing in bonafide, rising star young coaches. That's the price a competitive G5 will have to pay to play. Bottom line is Wren Baker has to be sharp, energetic and think beyond whoever the current UNT coaches are at the time. SO GOES THE WREN, SO GOES UNT ATHLETICS.

This is a fun series for SMU and UNT for many, many people throughout the Metroplex. The two have been sniping at each other like the Hatfields and McCoys forever. I mean smu fans get snooty and UNT fans get pissed  but everybody in the metroplex always knows about the game and has a beer and an opinion. It's local and it's fun.

Sorry Harry, lot's of respect your way, BUT this Wren Baker statement on Benford's job security sounds sooo Villareal like ,  "... Nothing's going to change, everything is actually alright ". It's like the  "fake news " stories we have been hearing about in politics. We waited so long to hopefully see meaningful changes in football and now we're having to drink the same bitter kool-aid all over again in mbb. Sorry, I'm beat down.

[Ring...ring...Hello is this Wren Baker...?]

Hello Mr. Baker,   I don't usually make phone calls like this and I'm a fan who usually never rocks the boat or rushes to judgement. My son and I have been die hard season ticket holders for years and like what we see happening there with Coach Littrell in football.    HOWEVER Sir,   even though we used  to attend most basketball games , we now find that virtually every time we go to a basketball game UNT loses and has been for about five years running . LIKE TONIGHT MR. BAKER, Rice hung 101 points on UNT to our 79. We thought the Rice game was winnable. Anyway, my son and I are getting awfully frustrated, year after dismal year with the basketball situation. Seems to be going down hill, yet the kids on the court do seem to have talent and commitment. Thought you might want to hear from a couple of the silent supporters,  we're frustrated ! Maybe we're the only ones because there actually aren't very many people at the games other than us.  Well, thanks for taking my call. See you at the Pit ???
