Pretty stoked about this purchase:  I plan on wearing it to the games. I know you’re jealous!!image.png.16462140b443fec09b1b855495b3e7a4.png

Tom, after all of the GMG family love and good hearted trash talk about “THE SHIRT” you really need to let us hear from you buddy.  I mean I actually used to have one of the hats with the beer can holders in the brim with long rubber straw !  So,  did you really buy the shirt ? Come on Tom, really ?

    Keep downvoting you douchebaging morons.

peanuts104:  Occasionally your posts make some points that hit the nail squarely on the head and cause me to affirm or reassess my own point. However your below the belt insults like above are unnecessary and wouldn’t be acceptable in any locker room or 82nd Airborne battle situation I have ever been engaged in.

    Please be more respectful sir.

  3. Likewise, I tested positive last week for COVID19 and FLU even though I had the two shots, booster and flu shots.  First night with  bad chills and mild cough. Next night chills gone but cough worse.  Starting to pull out of it though.
Much like how I felt after the Portland state debacle under McCarney.  Sooo, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger ??

UNT90: my misunderstanding.  When I saw the Topic Heading“UNT OPENS AT -3”  I thought that meant UNT favored by 3.

What bad news. Not to get any of us old timers started, but the parade used to be such a big deal. There were at least 20 high school bands participating as well as a few service bands. The parade started at about 10 am and made its way from Ave E to the square via Hickory and then once around the square.

After the parade, the various departments and schools had their open houses. Kick-off was about 2 pm and following the loss game, there was a big concert with the university symphony featuring some B list artist. Great memories.

Interesting.  There is no 26 listed on the participation report.

You are traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. You have just entered into Apogee Stadium, home of the Mean Green.  🤠

I am no SMU fan, but I wonder how he can say that when they are undefeated? Is it strength of schedule?

I believe Bowlsby is just trying to find a polite way of saying “no” to smu. Have you ever had a date that you didn’t want to see again ?

You are so pathetic. SMU is a significantly superior program to NTSU. You are in because SMU is gone along with other peer programs. We will beat you until the end of time and we will always be able to pluck the best talent from Denton just like we do to the Frogs. We will probably keep playing your team, hopefully as a home game permanently when we get our XII logo.

I’m glad you came to this Mean Green site and posted  smumustang2018. Moron trash talk is great for local rivalries.  Can’t deny the little pony is having a great year, but I’ve  known these two institutions for years and years and the reality is the tide will change again, the Mean Green will beat Peruna and we’ll all keep pissing at each other over cold beer.

I don't understand this line of thinking that comes up from time to time.

SMU was one of the worst teams in all of football for 10+ years and not much better for another 10+.  We spent 1997-2013 in a conference not much better than yours.   For a lot of that time TCU was also garbage.  What field could be any more level? UNT had every opportunity to match or pass SMU and didn't have the administrative and/or booster support to pass SMU's incompetent administration and boosters.  It's been level for decades and we have been playing you frequently.

I’ve watched SMU since I was a little boy in Dallas and played ball around Ownby Stadium.  I know SMU and it’s peaks  and valleys.  SMU doesn’t have the staying power to win consistently, never has, never will.  Within two more seasons the Ponies will be scratching the bottom again.  About UNT, if it ever gets its act together consistently it could dwarf SMU in market identity.

Maybe Brett should see if the Dallas Morning News or San Antonio Express is hiring. Because he loves talking about SMU and UTSA more than UNT fans care to listen.

Actually I’m glad Vito isn’t too timid to state the truth in a way that hopefully gets the attention of UNT’s leadership.   They don’t listen to me, or you for that matter, but it’s hard to ignore a metroplex news article (even from Denton) that sticks out like a sore thumb for all to read.  This program and thousands ,yes thousands, of North Texas fans, alums and students should indeed expect more.  UNT is a super University that can and should do better.   Vito’s article is a business reality that hopefully gets read by the real movers and shakers who impact leadership.
