  1. Kneejerk reaction: That's terrible. SHSU is one of the bottom 3 D-I teams in the state. On second thought: Any road win is good.
  2. It's only one game, but they seem to have great depth, a solid core of senior leadership, and an impressive freshman class.

  4. Was it ever determined/announced exactly why Coach Segal quit?

  6. I wonder why signing day information was never posted.
  7. Charity at the expense of exactly whom? Please explain.
  8. Amen to that, but I really mean it!
  9. Year in & year out Tulsa is a top 25 program. They occasionally make a run in the NCAA tournamnet. Up & coming coaches pass through Tulsa on their way to the really big time.
  10. Score was 1-0. No chance for an at large invitation IMO because [a] weak schedule, both OOC & SBC, bad losses to Baylor, SFA, and MTSU. It was a good year, 15-6-1 (6-1-1 SBC) is nothing to be ashamed about. Look on the bright side - the girls can concentrate on their GPA's for the remainder of the semester!

  12. (from www.sunbeltsports.org) Bowling Green, Ky. — Due to the amount of rain received in the Bowling Green area over that past two days, the semifinals of the 2003 Hardee's Sun Belt Conference Women's Soccer Tournament have been postponed until Friday. The top-four seeds all advanced out of Wednesday's quarterfinal matches. Top-seeded Denver will face No. 4 Western Kentucky at 4 p.m. (CST) on Friday, with No. 2 North Texas and No. 3 Middle Tennessee slated to start at 7 p.m. Those two winners will meet in the championship match at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
  13. Anything other than a trip to the title game and a *competitive* effort against Denver will be a major disappointment.

  15. Assuming no upsets ... It appears UNT will be the #3 seed, setting up a semi-final match with #2 MTSU ... winner to play Denver for the NCAA berth, and we now know that Denver's not invincible. But until the Mean Green learn to win away from the Peterbilt it reminas a long shot IMHO.
  16. well if the midfield & defense don't get their act together, starting this week-end vs. ULL & USA, then they may not even make the tournament final.
  17. Agree. It would be interesting to hear theories as to why their wheels have come off. On the other hand, this mid-season slump will be forgotten with 3 wins in the conference tournament. Then again, that's 3 more road games!
  18. Record @ Home: 9-0 Record on the road: 1-4-1
